Altered Composition Notebook Using Lindy Stamp Gang and Tattered Angels

So my little cousin called me to see if I could alter a composition notebook for her friend.  I never altered a notebook before so I was excited to try it.  I checked out a few videos on You Tube...didn't look too difficult so I figured I would have it done in a matter of minutes.  Well it took me a little longer than 45 minutes but it was relatively simple.  I wanted to share so enjoy.  I think I will be making more of these.

Paper came from Die Cuts With A View Mango Frost (probably my favorite collection).  My cousin wanted her friends' name on the notebook so it was cut out using my cricut cartridge "Tie The Knot" and welded together using my Gypsy.  The spine and name was cream color paper before and sprayed with Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Spray Poinsettia Red Gold.  The ribbon between the paper and spine was an iridescent white before and sprayed with Tattered Angels Tuscan Sun glimmer mist.  I had seen the flower done on You Tube and I'm hooked on making them, they are just too cute.  The boarder on the flower was a boarder punch from EK and sprayed with Tattered Angels Gumdrop glimmer mist and the circle was sprayed with Tuscan Sun.

I'm so loving the Lindy Stamp Gang order that came in yesterday that I wanted to post their information.  I ordered on a Sunday and it came in yesterday (Friday) and that's with no mail on Thursday because of the holiday.  The website is http://www.lindystampgang.com/ and I highly recommend checking them out.

Glimmer Mist Gone Crazy & Lindy Stamp Gang

Black Friday is a day for me to relax with my fiance and do some crafting.  I did look at the ads to see if anything was worth while and decided it wasn't worth the chaos.  I did however go completely nuts on Tattered Angels glimmer mist which is not available in Delaware.  I live in a state where it's pretty much AC Moore, Michaels and Joanns...I think someday I'm going to open a store with things that aren't available in Delaware.  I'm a recent huge fan of glimmer mist and started my journey with them only the beginning of this year so I've been playing a little bit of catch up.  I managed to find some very hard ones and there are still some I cannot find.  I can't wait for my orders to come in and share some new projects with everybody.  I was so happy to see that my Lindy Stamp gang order came in today and I'm getting ready to craft with the things I bought.  I haven't used their products yet so I order the basic Christmas color sets and they are just beautiful colors.  I'll be back on in a little bit, hope everyone has enjoyed their Thanksgiving and has a great weekend.

Happy Thanksgiving

Just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving.  No crafting the last few days as I've been enjoying my family and friends.  My fiance is on vacation this coming week and we are having a mini getaway on Monday and I'm helping my dad cater Tuesday and Wednesday so hopefully I'm able to craft sometime soon.  Everyone enjoy the holiday and hopefully I'll be blogging over the weekend.

December Tag Swap

I'm doing my first ever tag swap and I'm excited and nervous at the same time.  It's the December Tag Swap/Challenge and it can be found on KinderStampO at http://www.kinderstampo.com/2010/11/blog-post_17.html.  The theme is "Wishing you a Pink Winter Wonderland" and you have to use pink in your tag.  I'm so excited for this tag and I hope everyone enjoys them.

The tag was made from the Cricut Cartridge "Tags, Bags, Boxes and More".  The "Winter Wonderland" clear stamp came from The Paper Company Studio set called Snowflake.  I did the resist technique using clear embossing powder and then used Spun Sugar distress ink to cover the tag.  The snowflake stamp came from Inkadinkado and was embossed with gold embossing powder.  The "flower" was used with white cardstock then glimmer misted using Tattered Angels Gumdrop.  The two ivory and gold snowflakes were cut out from my Gypsy using the Gypsy Wanderings.  The paper came from Die Cuts With A View "The Christmas Combo Stack".  It was finished off with an ivory and gold ribbon.

Another Birthday Card

I'm going to make this post quick because my laptop keeps overheating (thank goodness I'm getting a new one next week).  My future mother-in-law's birthday is tomorrow and of course my fiance wanted a card made.  I thought it turned out pretty nice, enjoy!

The card was used from Recollections card pack.  The paper came from Die Cuts With A View Amber Autumn Fall Stack Collection.  The ribbon was white and I glimmered misted it with Tattered Angels Autumn Leaves.  The foil looking leaves and flower I cut from the paper pack and set them up on pop dots.  The wording came from cricut cartridge "Songbird" then got welded together on my Gypsy.  "Birthday" got glimmer misted in Tattered Angels Walnut Gold and the bling came from a Martha Stewart embellishment pack.
I will be back on later once my laptop decides to cooperate with me as I have a few more projects to share.

Birthday Card

My mom's birthday was on the 11th of November but with my sister's wedding I wasn't able to post this.  I made my mom a quick card and thought it came out pretty nice and wanted to share.  Sorry again about the camera, I'm good with technology but not when it comes to fixing pictures.

The card was made from Recollections card pack.  The top part of the card was from a paper pack from Cloud Nine. The bottom of the card was embossed with a leaf stamp I bought at ACMoore and clear embossing powder was used.  I used the resist technique and used Wild Honey distress ink.  The "Celebrate" came from my cricut cartridge "Tie The Knot" and cream color cardstock was used.  The other two pieces came from my cartridge "Once Upon A Princess" and i glimmer misted them with Sugar Maple and Juniper.  The Juniper piece I set up on pop dots.  The ribbon was actually white when I started but I glimmer misted Sugar Plum Fairy and it gave it such a nice pretty color.  The bling was from a Martha Stewart embellishment pack I bought from Michaels.

I will probably be back on later to share some other things I'm working on.  I wasn't feeling too well yesterday but I'm ready to craft all day today.

Relaxing & Crafting

So everyone loved my wedding card cake box from my sister's wedding yesterday that I actually got 2 orders out of the night which I was not expecting.  After much needed sleep, I got a late start to my day today and only crafted a little bit.  I got some pictures for some of things that I did.  My lovely fiance bought me a new camera a few days ago and I'm still trying to figure it out.  So some of the pictures may be a bit off.

The wooden note holder/calender was purchased at AC Moore.  Was altered with My Studio acrylic paint color Tan.  The paper was from K & Co My Life's Journey.  It was distressed with Broken China distress ink.  The number and month blocks were a kinda happy mistake.  I started to paint them with the acrylic paint and realized I covered up the numbers and letters.  I managed to locate tan paper, make boxes out of my cricut cartridge "Tags, Bags, Boxes and More" and put the wood blocks inside the paper blocks.  The month wood blocks were wrapped around with the tan paper, nothing special.  The lettering and numbers came from black vinyl that was included with my purchase when my fiance bought me my cricut bundle (Yes, my fiance is very good to me).  I used my cricut cartridge "Plantin Schoolbook" to cut the letters and numbers out.
I ended up giving this to my future mother-in-law whose birthday is coming up on the 19th so I found a home for my project.  That's all I got to today.  I have a card that I want to share but I will post those pictures when I have some more time which will be tomorrow.

Wedding Card Box

I haven't posted something all week, it's been a little crazy here.  My step sister is getting married today and my dad is catering for the wedding and taking part so I've been with him and my step mom for the majority of the week helping with everything.  My step mom had asked me to create an elegant fall themed card cake box.  Couldn't really come up with a fall theme so we decided to go with the colors.  I have a ton of pictures to post but since today is the day this card box gets seen by about 150 people, I wanted to share.

The card cake box was made out of paper mache boxes that I picked up at ACMoore.  The acrylic paint was from My Studio and the color was Bittersweet Chocolate.  The ribbon and swarovski crystals came from Michaels.  The table wasn't finished yet but I wanted to take pictures before I had forgotten.
So that is it for now, I will be back tomorrow and post what I did the rest of this week.  I'll be working on projects tomorrow and doing some much needed relaxing.

A Bridesmaid Treat Box

So I'm getting married in May of 2011.  Almost 6 months away and I'm getting excited.  I had a little get together for my bridesmaids yesterday and I had a great time with them.  Of course I had to make treats for my girls.  I have 5 bridesmaids so it didn't take me long to make them.  I managed to remember to take pictures of only two (my maid of honors' and my jr bridesmaid).  Pay no mind to the mess in the back, I work organized at first and then the area just gets really messy.  Enjoy!

The boxes were made out of my Once Upon A Princess cricut cartridge as well as the crowns.  The names were created off my gypsy and the ribbon and brads came from my local A.C. Moore.  The bling came from Prima E-Line I purchased off of Scrapbook.com.  The paper from the first picture came from Die Cuts With A View Black Currant and the second one came from Die Cuts With A View Mango Frost.  I put a lip balm, body lotion and body spray in the treat boxes.

Halloween Treat

So I made a Halloween treat for my mom as a surprise and dropped it off at her work on October 29th.  It turned out so cute that I wanted to share it.  The box is from the wood section at A.C.Moore.  I painted it black and put paper from Die Cuts With A View Midnight Spell on both sides.  I distressed the edges with black ink and put red stickles on the crow's eye.  The tag also comes from Midnight Spell.  The back of the box has silver stickles bordering the spider's web.  I put a cookie from the grocery store, some hershey snack bars and two lollipop groups in the box for some added treats.

Past Projects

So I have new projects I need to post but before I do that I wanted to share the rest of my past projects.

The towel cake was made June of this year for my next door neighbor's graduation party.  School colors were blue and white and I have a lot of fun making this cake only because this was a surprise for her and she loved it.  It's a 3 tier towel cake made with 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 washcloths.  Silver pipe cleaners went along tier 2 and the topper I had bought from a party store that was actually supposed to be a centerpiece, I just pulled the base off.

The next 2 pictures is a centerpiece I made for my sister-in-laws baby shower.  The centerpiece was made out of Number 1 diapers, bottles, bowls (not seen, they are underneath holding the blue beads resembling water).  I put some hot wheels on there in hopes that he would be a hot wheel kinda boy someday.  The gray, brown and green is fabric I bought at my local Joann Fabrics.  Not my best work (the rocks were not the easiest to cover up) but my sister-in-law loved it, she really didn't want me making a diaper cake and didn't want a fancy one since I talked her into letting me make one before the little man arrived.

So that is it for now.  I have more pictures to post but those pictures are from recent projects.  Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and I'll be back on a little later.

Diaper Cakes & Towel Cake

So the first 3 pictures are of my first ever diaper cake that I made for my best friends' sister's baby shower.  The theme was Pooh so I was excited to create something.  I was so happy with my diaper cake that I decided to make a diaper bundle.

The diaper bundle was created with newborn diapers, a receiving blanket, washcloths and newborn onsies.  More or less something for the new mommy to take with her to the hospital for her new little bundle of joy.  I got word from my best friend that her sister did not want to touch the bundle but eventually caved in and took it with her to the hospital.
The Diaper Cake was a 4 tiered cake with Number 1 diapers, receiving blankets, pacifiers, socks, travel size accessories and a Pooh.  The cake was held together by a dowel rod and decorated with ribbons and the travel size accessories to cover up the rod.

The next two pictures are from a diaper cake that I made for a co-workers' friends' baby shower.  The theme was The Princess and the Frog and the colors were green and pink.
The Diaper Cake was made with 3 tiers and Number 1 diapers, pacifiers, receiving blankets and socks.  A bottle is holding the tiers together.
My co-worker wanted a very plain Diaper Cake created but I still wanted to give it that girly touch.  The socks were created to look like a flower bouquet and I think the tiara gave it a nice finished touch.

The last picture is of a Towel Cake that I made for my grandmother's birthday.  This was the first ever Towel Cake that I made.  It was created with a large towel and a washcloth.  Bath and Body Works Moonlight Path was also put into the cake.  A lesson learned, I wasn't thrilled with the sides coming out like that so the next time I did a Towel Cake I knew what I was doing.

Shopping Spree & Camera Trouble

So I can't seem to find the cord to my camera.  As soon as I can locate it, I will post some pictures of my recent projects.  In the meantime,  I will post some pictures of past projects that I did. I did some shopping a couple of days ago thanks to my lovely fiance.  To let everybody know, the new Call of Duty Black Ops video game is coming out on Tuesday and I think it was his way of getting me to not pay attention to the fact that I won't see him for days cause of this game lol.  So ladies beware, if your husband fiance boyfriend loves video games and loves the Call Of Duty series, you may not see him for days.  I live with my fiance so I guess that's nice, I'll just bother him in between games.  Anyways, I ordered from a couple of different places and I'm excited for my orders to come in.  I'm sorta new to Tattered Angels glimmer mist (like I just discovered the company a few months ago) and I realized that some of the old colors are absolutely lovely.  The old ones are insanely hard to locate and I've been having a hard time.  Thank goodness for EBay because I have managed to locate Snow Angel, Gingerbread, Sugar Cookie, and Spring Mint.  I've also managed to locate Lucky which is very rare and was only around for a very limited time.  If anybody is reading this, I'm asking for help.  I cannot find the following...Mistletoe, Snowflake, Holly Berry and Robin's Egg.  If anybody knows how to get a hold of these colors, please let me know.  So that's it for me rambling, I'm going to try and do a haul video and post on YouTube.  The next posting will be of my past projects.  Hope everybody has a great night and enjoy the weekend.

First Day Of Blogging

So this is my time blogging and having a page.  I'm super excited to show everybody what inspires me and hopefully in time I can inspire others.  I will be putting pictures up of my recent projects later on today and will probably be posting a haul on my blog too.  Can wait to get started and I'll be blogging a litte later.
