With the exception of a few spots to touch up, I am finally done painting!

I have to say that I absolutely loved rolling away 10 years of wear and tear with a new coat of paint!

How fun is that?

I am loving the warmer colors and think it looks so much better!

What I'm Doing Today

Poor Bay came down with a fever, sore throat and mean, mean cough that won't let her sleep.

I'm exhausted after a short night, but afraid to wake her up by trying to lay her down.

So I'll stay awake instead and just cherish my time with her today.

January Distractions

So, for me, the problem with loving Christmas so much is that I am so sad to see it end.

January is definitely my least favorite month.

This year was just as bad as always and when I took all my beautiful Christmas things down, I thought my house looked so awful that I literally started painting immediately.

I started with the fireplace, but before I knew it, I had spent many, many days, multiple trips to Home Depot and several gallons of paint, and painted the entire main level - family room, kitchen, hallway, dining room and front room.

It was a lot of work but it looks so much better!

But I can't wait to see how beautiful it looks like when I get to put my tree up again... :)

Goodbye Christmasy House :(

So sad to have to say goodbye to my beautiful, magical Chrismasy house.

This year was especially fun with my beautiful 2nd tree in the family room and my double-decker of icicle lights on the house. It was all so gorgeous.

Even though I took all my beautiful Christmas things down, poor Bayli just doesn't understand that it's not Christmastime anymore. She keeps saying "Santa's coming!!", asking to watch Polar Express, wanting to listen to Jingle Bells in the car, and instead of saying "Goodbye", she says "Merry Christmas!!".

A year seems like a long, long time to wait before we can do it all again...

Three Months??

In just three months, my soft, furry 26 lb. puppy has turned into this...


a 56 lb. ginormous, crazyenergetic dog

with super long stick-legs and lion's paws :)

Go Broncos!!

On the 3rd, my hubby and I got to go to the last Broncos game of the season!

He has been working so hard at work the last few months, that he was awarded some sweet tickets (at $348.00 each!) & a VIP parking pass.

It was so much fun! I love the excitement of actually being at the field and cheering for our team.

Lucky for us, we wanted to get back to the girls and left after the 3rd quarter, just before the Broncos started losing miserably... :) The Chiefs scored 10 points while we walked out of the stadium to the car, and another 10 on the ride home. Yikes.

But we had a great time anyway - all bundled up, cheering for our team, making jokes, watching the fireworks, sharing a chicken ranch sandwich, just the 2 of us.

Better luck next year guys...

And thanks so much to my wonderful sister-in-law and brother-in-law who spent the whole day entertaining my lucky, lucky girls!!

A Family New Year's Eve

Our crazy New Year's Eve was full of my favorite things and favorite people!

Our whole family (Cooper included) spent the night at Corey & Jeff's. Ryann & Madi babysat the 4 littler ones while the 4 adults went to Little Nepal for dinner. So delicious!! We came home & played board games, while the cousins played and tried to out-crazy than the dogs. Cooper and his dog-cousin Chief ran & chased & ran until they were both so exhausted that they snuggled up together & slept on the sofa. We lost a few before midnight (Bayli, Garrett & Mike!) but the rest of us watched Dick Clark & counted down to the New Year. So fun!

I even got to see my Momma on New Year's Day when Skye & Madi spent the night...
