A Bargain can get me to blog...

So, I went to Albertsons today (it is magic Wednesday) and this is what I walked out with...

I wound up paying a total of $4.99 for ALL OF THIS!!! It's magic. The lady behind the counter said she was pretty impressed.

I didn't tell her that I was heading to Rite Aid where I'd get this...

FOR FREE!!!!

Ahhhh. It's a good day. Maybe I'll go back tomorrow.

A FABULOUS weekend...

Okay, so first a big THANK YOU to Dennis for breaking us back in and giving me the motivation to blog about a simply GREAT weekend...

First and foremost, THE BYU FOOTBALL GAME!!! All of the blonde (or really not-so-blonde) Krumpermans attended the game in Seattle and just had a blast! It was great to see Bryan (even though he wore purple and cheered the opposition) and being with Dennis helped me to relive my BYU days...and yes, Marci, I am jealous. Also at the game and worth mentioning, the DreamWeavers, the Hones, the Baxters, the Powells, the brother-of-our-Williams-also-known-as-Williams, and the couple I scalped tickets to because the Coopers couldn't make it. What a crowd and what a game!! (For those who care, there really was no controversy about that final call at the game...it was just those sportscasters that turned it into drama.) WE WON!!
The game was followed by dinner with Adam and Lise (and we thank you heartily for a fabulous stay....even without a door!!) and Bryan came, too!! He came back to the Powell's and met our 3rd child, Otter! It was such fun to watch Bryan and Otter play...he says to tell you he loves you and misses you, Uncle Bryan!
Otter wasn't the only one that loved Uncle Bryan! All the Krumperkids along with their Frerichs cousins attacked Uncle Bryan....and I'm sure it was unprovoked. Right.
We skipped out on Sunday School to go down and visit Grandma K in Auburn and had a wonderful visit! The kids enjoyed the entertainment (some Irish dancers came and did their version of Riverdance) and we talked Grandma silly!
Then we topped the weekend off with a FABULOUS dinner at Paul and Jeanne's joined by Aunt Marci and AGAIN, Uncle Bryan! Miracles never cease!!!

A small note--I am sending out a special THANK YOU to Paul and Jeanne who not only hosted us several times over the weekend, but took us in when the kids and I were stranded in Seattle the week before. They provided EXCELLENT food and WONDERFUL conversation. Needless to say, I send them HUGE hugs and even feel a little embarrassed about the number of times I told Paul "I hate you! I wish you were dead!" as a child. I love you guys!!

The bottom line is: I HAD A GREAT TIME!!! Let's do this again sometime!!

Imposter Blogger

So I (Dennis) am trying this blog thing to help us get back on the map... besides you really need to see what we've done this summer!
April 22, 2008 Jackson gets ready for some loot from the tooth fairy... with his first lost tooth. The gold dollar has been a prized possession... he has gotten 2 of them so far.

"Dad, I want to catch a fish and eat it" I have heard Jackson say that for at least 2 years now. He now has caught 3 and we ate them... not our favorite meal but we did it!

When Grandpa and Grandma Frerichs came to visit we went to a real gold mine near Kellog Idaho... afterwards we panned for gold and other crystals outside the mine.

We also went fishing with Grandpa Frerichs and guess who was the first to catch a fish? What a woman... although there was a little anxiety involved, she even grabbed it off the hook and stuck it in the bucket!

I've been tagged....A Book Tag

A Book Tag
Tagged--for literacy. I've been tagged by my friend, Bridgette.

Here are the rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book (at least 123 pages).
2. Turn to page 123.
3. Find the 5th sentence
4. Post the 5th sentence on your blog
5. Tag 5 people

I'm currently reading the book, "Stop dressing your six-year-old like a skank...And other words of delicate southern wisdom" by Celia Ravenbark. Here it is:

Damn those veggie burritos.

Sorry about the cussing. She has a mouth on her. That's really what it says, too. And you all know you've thought that at one time or another!!

I tag Mom, Joanne, Jeanne, Valerie, Marci and Traci....we'll make this a family thing. You're it!!

Just one more filler....

Just in case you're thinking I've gone on another "Hiatus" and are on the point of starting up a "you-must-blog-now" campaign, here's a little post. Plus, I just had to remember this little snippet from Jackson's life.

We've been working really hard with our kids on prayers. No matter how many times we talk about how Heavenly Father likes to be thanked and not just asked for things, our kids struggle. So, the other night Jackson said the prayer and it was a complete prayer of Thanktimonies. I was sitting proudly, thinking that my parenting was paying off, until he said, "And thank you that we only smoke sometimes." Hold it. Am I missing something?? Is Dennis teaching the kids to smoke behind my back?? We both had to hold the laughter in as he finished up. He's a funny kid, but he's right. We really don't smoke that much and that's something to be thankful for.

I know this isn't much, but I have a final I haven't started studying for tomorrow. Look for a blog entry Thursday afternoon or evening with all our vacation events. It was great and I'm looking oh-so-tan for me..

John Mayer...

While I'm waiting to get our vacation pictures loaded onto the computer I thought I'd write a little post to tide you over. I recently discovered the joys of John Mayer. I know, I'm probably behind in the times but I have a confession--I never gave him a chance, just assumed he was an idiot and a talentless hack, all because he dated Jessica Simpson. Unfair?? Probably. Guilty be association, I guess. I think JM has a pretty unique voice and I intend to do further research. Dennis just LOVES it when I do research. (Ask him about all the research I did for WICKED.)

If you've never heard any JM, stay on the blog long enough and you will. As I discover other great songs of his (and many others) I'll add them to the list. Guess that's it. Oh, and we made it safely home.

It was....WICKED!!!

Let me tell you, last night was one of the GREATEST nights of my life. Sound a little drastic?? Dennis and I went and saw Wicked in Los Angeles and it was just INCREDIBLE!! I oh-so-highly recommend it to anyone who gets the chance to see it. It was just so much fun and has such great music! (Stay on this page long enough and you'll hear some of it.)

I have to admit that I was rather relieved because I had invested a lot of time in the music and emotionally, I was there. So much so, that Dennis had to laugh just a little at the fact that I was literally crying at the end of it. Yes, the story is touching, but mostly it was the fact that it was so much better than I had ever imagined it and I had imagined it pretty darn great.

Consider this my final word on the subject: THIS IS A MUST SEE!!!

All I can say is that Mickey and Minnie had better bring their "A" games if they even hope to compete with such a perfect night! Matt and Gabe had better polish up their pinochle if they hope to compete with such a perfect night. (Okay, that's not true...we're excited to be with them and they helped bring my perfect night about...) Shamu had better swim pretty darn impressively.
