June 2017

After getting back from our trip Dave and the kids were nice enough to make me dinner and cake!

Just two days after getting back from our trip the vacation really felt over. The three youngest and I had run to Hobby Lobby. While I was checking out Grayson fell and hit a cart. The crying was pretty bad. Just seconds after it happened two ladies walked in who happened to be nurses and told me that it required stitches. It was definetly nice having them come in and evaluate it since I usually wonder. We all hopped in teh car and headed for teh hospital and called Dave to let him know. It ended up being a pretty lame experience. It took FOUR hours to get all stitched up. They were well aware of his type 1 diabetes and still took forever and didn't wamt him eating. Poor kid even fell asleep for the procedure!

Summer sickness always surprises me...poor little Hannah got hit with a fever.

Working hard on our playground! Dave and Landon finished getting it assembled this month. With that came lots of fighting over the swings!

The girls were SUPER excited to go to their first concert! Caroline took them to see New Kids on the Block! Caroline wanted them to wear matching shirts so I made these shirts for the girls to match one Caroline had.

Playtime at the Curiostity Museum! The problem with bringing the big boys is their not so great ideas. The younger three had a blast playing in the ball pit.

Yay it's 100% done!

Hannah took swim lessons from our neighbors the Scott's. We spent at lot of time at the pool for the two weeks of her lessons!

Another visit to the Curiosity Museum!

Last summer Landon started piano lessons and he finally had his first recital! He did an awesome job! We are super impressed with how fast he has picked up the piano! Our neighbor Bro James was his teacher. Unfortunaetly he decided to stop teaching after this year.

Dinosaur Museum time! WE really get our money's worth out of our Thanksgiving Point passes! After the museum we hit the ice cream shop!

When we got home the kids wanted to play on our playground.

Grayson doesn't nap anymore but he sure does randomly fall asleep places!

Uncle Matt spoiled the girls with teh full set of mini beanie boos from McDonald's

S'mores time!!!  It's not summer wihout at least one campfire!

Fun night for the JDRF Walk kickoff! We got to see Car 3 for free! The movie was awesome and it was really cool to be in a theater full of type 1 families! We heard lots of dexcom alarms while we were there :)

We decided to participate in the Trial Net screening. Basically they check to see if you have markers for type 1 diabetes. The tricky part is that just because you don't have the markers today doesn't mean you won't have them later. The kids qualify to be tested yearly but I only qualified this once. So we went to Riverton hospital to have our blood drawn. The kids were pretty brave and Grayson probably enjoyed being the only one not getting poked for a change. The results were perfect, none of us had any markers!

Afterwards we stopped at Thanksgiving Point for ice cream and to play at Farm Country!

        More swimming lesson fun!

Scout Camp time! The boys headed up to AF Canyon for a fun week while the three youngest and I enjoyed some quiet and fun at home!
