First Day of School

I can't believe it is time to begin another school year! We are very excited that Charlie's first grade teacher will be Ms. Herring. We have heard wonderful things about her, and she and Charlie hit it off instantly. That always makes a mama feel better:) Here he is walking in with Daddy and Molly. He didn't want very many pictures!

I won't be long until these two will leave me too:(
Molly missed starting Kindergarten this year by one month. I am so glad to have her home another year! Unlike Charlie, she LOVES being at home when I am home, and doesn't like to go to school unless I am working and she knows she has to. We are especially glad that she will have Ms. Nicole for Kindergarten at HBC this year. Charlie had a wonderful year with Ms. Nicole and I know Molly will too.

Happy 2nd Birthday Gray!!!

We celebrated all week long for Gray's birthday. On the day of his birthday we stayed home and had cupcakes with Molly and Daddy while Charlie was at school (we saved him one). Then, later that evening we went to see Ms. Patty-Cake at our church. I think Gray thought all the fuss was for him-he was wide open! The whole family came over for supper on Saturday after his birthday. We had a big time together, and especially watching Gray on his new tractor-he loved it! The night ended with a very cool sunset-reminding us all that God created Gray and has a very special plan for his life. I can't believe my baby is two! It's going by way too fast-he is such a joy!!!
Gray wasn't too sure about the "hot" on his cupcake:)Singing "Happy Birthday" and blowing out the candles...he got a little teased.

Yummy cake and ice cream! Notice the new John Deer cap-he wouldn't take it off all night!
Waiting on his new tractor to ride on out...he took off!more presents....

his favorite present...he didn't pay much attention to anything else

look at the sunset...gorgeous!!!

After everyone left, Gray and Charlie got their baths and in their pjs for some cuddle time...they truly are crazy about each other and never fight! I'm not sure I will always be able to say that...

Father/Daughter Ball 2010

This year was Molly and Stephen's second Father/Daughter Ball. Molly was so excited because she had gone last year and had a blast. Our neighbor Lindsey and her daddy and sister came down for a few pictures before they all left. I think Stephen had as much fun as the girls...they didn't get home until 10:30!
Molly (4), Gracie(3) and Lindsey(5) Hopkins
Horse and carriage ride...she thought she thought she was Cinderella!
Dancing with the other girls...they didn't want to dance with their dads

Tinkerbelle was one of many Disney princesses there to dance with. All the girls went home with an autograph book-fun memories!

Year End Program at HBC 2010

Molly's end of the year program this year had a Noah's Ark theme. It was very cute. All of the classes had hats to represent different animals on the ark. Molly was very excited and knew all of the words to the songs. I can't believe next year will be her last program there. Thanks again to Ms. Linda for teaching our children songs about the promises of God!
Hanging out with Graham before the program...

Waiting to say her part...

Baseball and Brothers

Charlie had a great spring/summer baseball season. This was the first year he had played with the Tupelo Park and Recreation league. It was a little bit more serious about keeping score, striking out, etc. We thought he did very well to be the youngest and the smallest little guy on the team. I think Charlie loved Gray coming to watch him just as much as he did playing. They had a big time together in the dug-out and on the field. Molly wanted no part of it...and that was just fine with me:)
Gray's favorite parts of the baseball experience were ring pops and juice boxes...
Charlie playing short stop
Waiting to run from first...
Taking a warm-up swing...
Future bat boy...
Brotherly love...

Enjoying popsicles to cool off after the game...best buds!
