Okay so I haven't posted in a while, I apologize.
Here in the spirit of Christmas I give you doggie reindeer (okay,we don't have kids, so we dress up our dogs instead)....they LOVE it...can't you tell by the looks on their faces? First, the doggie reindeer watch closely as all the presents are wrapped and wonder "Why do I hear bells every time I move?" and "Where did these extra pair of ears come from?"

Then it is time for a nap. This is one exhausted reindeer!!

Then it is time for treats. See how pretty I sit when treats are involved.

Brandon and I are and have been busy with the holidays.
As I am sure you all are too. We are looking forward to spending time with lots of family and friends. I wish you all a very merry christmas and a 2007 filled with more joy than you can stand.

Here are the pictures.
Meagan, my sister and I made these books. I made one to give as a hostess gift filled with thank you notes from cousins (for Bush girl cousin weekend). I had told some of you about it and wanted to show you the finished product.

Here are some more pictures

These are the pumpkins that the families carved.

And one last time here are the girls sporting their "i'm only in my diaper" look in front of their pumkins. (FYI: that is blackberry cobbler on Claire's face...yum.)

So I will end here by saying...this life group is truly a joy. Brandon and I love hosting it in our home and enjoy filling our usually empty house with laughter, prayer, and friends.
Here are some pictures from our Life Group that we host at our house on Saturdays.
Claire (almost 2 y.o.) is trying to visualize what it would be like to be Dante or Zoe.

Here she is giving the "raise the roof" shout out to the dog crib.

Here is Selah (1 y.o.) and Claire showing off their halloween costumes (and what fanatics their father are for certain sports teams) They are so cute!!

We carved pumpkins and some did not like the mess...ew!

And others were facinated by it.

Ashley and me our Senior year in high school

Ashley and Me in 2006, at our 10th year reunion.

I can't believe we are old enough to have a 10th year reunion. WOW! I don't think we look much different. Maybe a little wiser. All in all the reunion was okay, we got to visit with old friends and see people that we haven't seen in a long, long time.

Zoe likes to pretend that she is human any chance she can get. So as soon as I get out of the shower and start to brush my hair, she jumps on the bed and lays her head on the pillow. Just FYI, she is laying on Brandon's pillow...this is her usual spot.

She's not spoiled...not really...
When we went to San Antonio for a week in August, the whole family took a 2 day trip to Corpus Christie. We took the dogs with us. Anyway, Brandon's parents got us our own hotel room with a king size bed. Both of the dogs LOVED it, there was plenty of room for us and them. Well, in the morning I was trying to feed them breakfast so that the humans could go eat breakfast and Zoe wouldn't get out of the bed. So in desperation I put the food bowl on the bed in front of her. SHE ATE HER BREAKFAST IN BED!!! Brandon says that she is lazy and spoiled, I just think the girl knows how to have a good time.

Happy Birthday to me! Tomorrow is my 28th birthday. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. We went to San Antonio for a week to visit Brandon's family and I have been playing catch-up ever since. AND there hasn't been a lot going on.

This is a picture of Dante. He likes to chill at the top of the stairs, always ready to spring into action in the event that the doorbell rings.

Okay for those of you who didn't know, I took my licensing exam today to become a LPC (licensed professional counselor). I passed!!! I am so relieved. So now I can focus my attention on fun things, like work and making curtains for my friend, who left material weeks ago, but I have been to wrapped up in studying.

Okay, so I am one of those people that personifies their pet. Zoe is so compliant she lets me put just about anything on her. She is a great dog. Anyway, I thought this was funny.

Here is Zoe. Brandon refers to her as "my dog" but she is our dog. I will admit that she listens to me better than she does Brandon, but hey, us girls have to stick together. She will be 4 y.o. in November and I have had her since she was 6 weeks old.

Brandon and Dante sharing a moment...

Tuesday, August 01, 2006

This is us, "The Finchers." Brandon, Jennie, Dante (Black Lab), and Zoe (Yellow Lab). We are sitting in front of our new house, that we purchased in Fort Worth about a year ago.
Well, Brandon's cousin, Courtni, convinced me to try this out. I don't know if I will be any good at keeping it going, but I will give it a shot.
