First Haircut

Madi got her first haircut this week and she did great! We just needed a little trim to see if we can make her hair get thicker. She sat in my lap and didn't move much at all. The sucker helped with that too. Afterward we rode the carousel, ate Chick-fil-a and got a cookie. I think it was the best night of her life!

2 Years Old

Two Year Check Up...
  • Weighs 24.5 lbs (25%)
  • Height is 36" (95%)
The Things She Says...
  • Madi sings all the time. She can sing her ABC's with almost all the letters now, Old McDonald, Jesus Loves Me, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, The Barney Song, The Hot Dog Song, and the list goes on and on.
  • "Daddy fix it" Daddy fixes everything in house!
  • "I want to hold you" Meaning she wants you to hold her.
  • Everyday on the way to school she asks for Asher, Ella Clair, Ben, Josh, Jenna and Bryant. She loves her cousins and her friends at school.
  • Every time I pick her up she says"Madi heavy?" Guess I used to say that a lot to her.
  • Madi has figured out what "mine" means, and every thing she sees is hers.
The Things She Does....
  • Madi is trying to give up her high chair. Every morning she rushes into the kitchen to eat and screams "I sit in Mommy's chair!" She wants to sit at the table like a big girl all the time now.
  • She recently found my lipstick and smeared it all over her face. She told me one day she wanted to "color her face too". I guess she did.
  • She plays mommy to all her babies. They have to go night night a lot and sometimes get put in time out.
  • Don't tell her when you have to go potty, she will end up telling everyone she see's that you are going poo-poo or tee-tee.
  • She loves to help me cook. Every afternoon she brings a chair over to the counter and stands on it to help me cook.

How They Change in Just 2 Years

Our first Halloween spent in the light box trying to get rid of jaundice.

Our second Halloween as a little duck.

Our third Halloween as our serious little bee.

So much changes in just two years. Our little girl went from sleeping in the swing for hours to finding lipstick in my purse and smearing it on her face. From barely ever making a sound to talking NON STOP. From being very easy going to very opinionated. From always finishing her bottle to asking for chocolate and candy all the time. My sweet girl is growing up, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
