My Little Artists

Sweet Kenzie Sue came over the other morning and so we decided to switch things up a bit and break out some (washable) sidewalk paint! They loooooved being artists for the morning

and of course they had to run through the sprinklers after to wash up :) (actually they hated and were afraid of the sprinklers so we settled with the hose...they may look happy in this picture but they were both in tears a couple minutes before haha oh... maybe next time they'll be up for it)

A Memorable Memorial

We made our annual trip up to Show Low for Memorial Day so Morg could play in the softball tournament...we actually got engaged on Memorial Day 5 years ago...aw....so this year on Sunday we decided to go on a drive up near Sunrise almost to Greer area. It was beautiful as always...I LOVE that drive...too bad its all burned up now... :( We had a blast though...

(so we bought a Pathfinder with 4 wheel drive so we HAD to try it out...best part of the day was this boys face climbing up and down the hill in 4 low giddy as a school girl with literally 5 little kids in the back haha oh gosh we're retarded...)

The New Do

Well look who got a hair cut! I got a little crazy last week and asked my very talented sister in law Maren to come over and chop of my long locks. I decided to go all out with the pixie...pretty crazy right?? Ug..I'm no good at the self-portrait but I did want to give credit when credit is due and I'd say, especially for a nube, Maren did a great job!

(morgan was having way too much fun making fun of me taking a million pictures of myself...i haven't quite perfected my "look" yet, you know?)

Easters

I'm not going to lie...this is the first time since Morgan and I have been married that we've actually celebrated Easter somewhat properly... Even though I did buy everything for Emerys basket the night before at CVS and she was the only one that got a basket (sorry Paige...) I think it was still a hit! She looooved her basket of goodies and loved hunting for eggs at grandmas even more. Gosh, I really need to get into the whole holiday thing more... I feel like such a slacker...heck, I didn't even buy the girls new dresses! I promise I'll do better in the years to come...but hey! we did do a "traditional" Easter family picture of us in our Easter garb!

Emerys Big Bonk

Our little family spent the night Thursday night at Cardons Childrens Hospital after Emery fell off her little trampoline onto the concrete porch :( She fell out around 6 Thursday evening. Pretty quickly I knew something was wrong...she was super sweaty, her eyes kept rolling back and within a few minutes she started throwing up....it was the worst feeling EVER. We figured she had at least a concussion... so we took off for the ER. Once we got there they did an Xray and found that she had a pretty good sized fracture :( so they admitted us and did a CT Scan so check for bleeding or fluid. The CT came back normal (yay!) but they still kept us over night to monitor her. Paige stayed with us the whole time (i didn't want to have to worry about her being sad with anyone on top of worrying about Em) and she was awesome, she was the bell of the ball and thought we were on vacation or something...there was so many neat things to look at and all the nurses loved that they got to see a "happy baby" since most of the babies they see are not so happy, you know? I just can't even imagine the families that have their babies stay there night after night...I pray we don't ever have to! I have never wanted to take my family home more in my life. Talk about being home sick! We were in our room in the ER around midnight, Emery was asleep with Morgan on the gurney, Paige was asleep on me sitting in a chair. Morgan and I were awake listening to a baby screaming down the hall (we found out later she was getting a catheter) and I thought "get us the heck out of here!!" but then I thought a little more and realized that I had both my sweet babies with me in our own little room where it was quite (in our room at least) I could hear both little girls breathing and sucking on their binkies, they both feel safe and comfortable with mom and dad and then my heart softened and I was just grateful. I could do this. About an hour later they put us in our room upstairs where Paige and I shared the couch and Morg and Em slept together on the bed. Emery is doing GREAT and you'd never even know anything was wrong. She actually slipped off the couch last night and just about gave me a heart attack. She didn't hit anything but I think my gasp scared her more than actually falling haha so the next time she went to climb up on the couch she says to herself "k emmy, don't fall" haha so looks like we have to be super extra watchful of our sweet girl for the next couple months so we don't ever have to go through that again!

They Just Keep Getting Prettier

I'm pretty convinced my girlies are the most beautiful things i've ever seen...I can't believe how fast they grow! My 'newborn' is anything but anymore...she rolls and scoots all over the place but still of course prefers to be held over anything else...which i don't mind...(gotta work on these biceps somehow right?) Paige is the sweetest little girl...such a great baby...just like her biggie sister! Emery is like a little mommy (and just about as bossy) but still incredibly sweet to her little sister...she's never gotten jealous or mean not even a little bit. If she sees me kissing on Paige she comes and joins right in! She says "Paige is so cute!" alllll the time or "Aw...hi sweet girl!" They're getting to be little friends...the age gap is just going to get smaller and smaller...I love it

Blessed

We finally blessed Paige today...she's almost three months old and we're just getting to it (mostly because we didn't bring her to church for a while because i'm a little bit of a germaphobe) but I started getting a little nervous that the dress we bless Emery in wasn't going to fit if we waited any longer so we went ahead and bless this sweet girl

Something kind of cool...we just by chance blessed Emery on Morgans dads birthday and ended up blessing Paige on my dads birthday! Weird huh....

So Morgan gave Paige the sweetest blessing I think i've ever heard. I'm not just saying that because they're mine but honestly, I was incredibly impressed with him. :)
