Tuesday, April 25, 2006Woah...a super long day today! I reached Dover very late in the morning...kinda overslept. XD We went for our first Introduction to food Product Development (IFPD) Practical today. The practical focused on sensory evaluations and think it's the best one of all. For the first test (The Triangle test), we were given 3 orange juice samples (100 sth, 200 sth and 700 sth..hehe..forgot the exact labelling numbers =P) and were supposed to pick the odd one out. Weee.. I picked the correct one out. And, there were only 3 people in class who got it right. At first, Hazel and I were thinking "die, we are the only two who chose 200 sth." =X But, we got the same...umm.. experience. Two of them tasted very sour while one tasted ok.
The second test was called the Duo-Trio test. Everyone will be given given sample R and 2 other samples. Then, you have to identify which of the 2 samples tastes the same as R. Beforehand, Sharon and I volunteered to help distribute the samples for this test. It's very fun...because you will know the answer before anyone else and it's very funny when you peeked at the people from the kitchen side. =P Still, it was kinda rushed and all. We were like frantically pasting the sticker labels on the cups..haha....trying to scoop mushroom soup from 2 big bowls to so many small cups. You had to make sure all the soup was evenly distributed. As you can see, campbell mushroom soup was used for this test. Ugh..don't know if the mushroom soup had turned too cold. One bowl (with the original sample) tasted quite horrible.. while the other one had more salt added.
Then, we were supposed to clean up and all. Ms Leong told us to clean the table tops outside, especially near the tap parts. Sharon heard that we had to use serviettes for cleaning. So I took quite a number of serviettes and went out to clean the tables. Then, suddenly, the helper was telling me to use a cloth next time because we need to save the environment. I was like =S inside..then, I returned and told sharon about it. Sharon was sure Ms Leong said serviette. Ah, dang.

Friday, April 21, 2006Today's a super short day! Just need to come back to school for a GEM (General Elective Module) which is only 2 hrs long. I took up Calendars and Astronomy. Actually the lesson ended earlier than that. The lecturer spent most of the time briefing us and just went through with us about calendars and blah... haha.
The course wasn't what I really expected actually but it was alright I guess. Some of the lecturer's pronounciations are kinda weird though.. She pronounced "Christ" as "kris" (something like that). I couldn't help laughing... I thought Christ is Christ... The way she pronounces "Gregorian" is a bit funny too...HEHE... and I was telling Hazel that I heard "Yami Fishermen" as "Yummy Fishermen". Okay, why am I correcting pronounciations when I'm bad at them myself? =X
Poor Lin Jun took up the wrong course..Dang.. He didn't check carefully during registration and
went to Introduction to Astro-Navigation instead. And, I think he's in XJ's class, haha.
I hope I won't fall asleep for any other lessons. I totally snoozed my head off this week. AHAHA! *sigh* I can't believe I fell asleep during the most interesting lecture of all on Thursday. My Tay teaches food additives and stuff like this. He has quite a good sense of humour. =) (remembers his joke about the milk bottle, haha) I think he saw me sleeping though...=.=
NT is back online as normal! YAY! We managed to play Gunbound together at last, hehe. Hopefully, our ba zhi will he now. AHAHA! NT's obsessed with the noisy mobile. O_O

Wednesday, April 19, 2006Today is an okay day, I guess.
Just that my parents heard the wrong time and they woke me up like around 7am when I'm supposed to leave house at 7.10 the latest if I don't wanna be late. I rushed out of the house at about 7.13am and reached around 5 minutes late! (my best record XD)
Quality assurance wasn't that interesting today. Mr Amos Goh really got my attention on Tuesday though. He gave detailed explainations and discussed interesting case studies. Today's topics are like drier? Haha..or maybe I'm just tired. I almost gonna fell asleep on last lesson though..another teacher with lullaby-like voice. Oh my....hahaha. And I'm still confused with the module short-forms. Confused with who's my new classmates. (oops) Anyway, Jia xin (or 150%) actually turned and smiled at me today during bonding session. O_O HAHA! But, I still find her really really like Xing Fang. Sharon's working hard! She's not only working hard on her own but also as an assistant class rep. Jeddy should reflect, hahaha.
Hmm..I guess I should stop here for tonight. It's almost time I go to bed.

Weee~ I moved!
First of all, I would like to thank

What's with all the sudden butterfuly fetish if you asked...heh, I don't know...was inspired by a song and found such a fitting layout. But, I didn't use that song because it's very Rock. =X So, here's Precious One instead. Hope you visitors like it.
First day in school was umm...not so nice. Everybody was scattered all over the place, plus each class is about 20 over students big. So we have like almost un-organized seconday school style lectures. Quite a number look nerdy. There is this one gang which looked really nerdy with their spectacles. (except for one who is not wearing specs) Then, there was this girl (150% nerdy XD) from our class who came in quite late for first lecture, lost. She still looked lost when she came in for second lecture, hahaha. She was like hesitating and looking for a good seat. Then, she went to sit beside Zhi Jia. In the middle of the lecture, I decided I should talk to her since she seemed to be alone.
I asked her
What class were you from?
She went
huh?
I asked again. She said 24. I thought she really meant like 1B24 or something. Only later then I realised she probably heard me wrongly.
Then I asked her
You have no classmates coming to food tech?
Then, again she went
huh? (I don't know if the class was THAT noisy. She went "huh" almost all the time)
I repeated my question.
Okay, she said something like they were sitting at the front, far opposite.
By the way, she looked quite solemn too. ATTITUDE! Hahaha...kidding!
04 people are still as energetic as ever, especially Li Hong and Soo yin! Both of them crapping a lot as always. We slacked a lot during all the in-between breaks. Good thing booboo came prepared. We kept playing Zigity, haha. And also the number game. So fun. Think I slept too late the night before. Fell asleep in the chemical engineering lesson (along with Liang Jue as usual)...I tried very hard to open my eyes but they just couldn't open. Almost nothing from the lecture went into my head at all. Somemore my body was like tilting so to the right that I could fall off the chair any minute. XD Omg..and I heard from Sharon that the guys behind us were saying we were so slack, sleeping in class like that. It was very funny because later on, they were saying people in front were sooo hardworking becaue they were jotting down notes busily.
During Maths lecture, there was this girl sitting just in front of my gang who was really crude. In the middle of lecture, she was telling the lecturer something like
Can we just stop now for today?
And because of her, the rest of the class started complaining too and wanted to end early. O_O (even though I wanted it to end early too but this is just so...)
And she looked kinda like the "bimbotic" people in my school last time.
And we got homework for first day! Wahhhh...oh man. So lazy to do my maths tutorial and we have tutorial today!
