MMMMMMM.......LASAGNA!!!!!

This is my newest favorite recipe. All 3 of the kids gobbled it up:)
Just thought I'd share! Enjoy!

CROCK-POT LASAGNA

INGREDIENTS
1 pound lean ground beef, cooked and drained
32 ounce jar of your favorite red pasta sauce
16 ounces cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
1/2 box (4.5 ounces) no boil lasagna noodles, gently broken in half if needed.
(I used regular noodles and they worked FINE!!)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 cup onion, finely minced
2 cups (8 ounces) Mozzarella cheese
shredded Parmesan cheese, to taste
Olive oil or cooking spray, as needed

INSTRUCTIONS
Grease the inside of your slow cooker with olive oil or cooking spray.
Combine beef, sauce, spices, garlic and onion in a medium-sized bowl and mix well.
Combine cheese, except for Parmesan, in a separate medium-sized bowl.
In the slow cooker, start with the beef mixture (about a fifth depending on the size of your cooker). Top with a layer of no boil noodles, then crumble on a thin layer of the cheese mixture (about a fifth). Repeat layers, ending with the beef layer on top. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. (I did 4 layers of cheese, 4 layers of noodles, and 5 layers of meat)
Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours. Serve with salad and garlic bread.
(Mine was ready in 3 hours!)

BOYS WILL ALWAYS BE BOYS!!!!

Marcus and Jacob woke up at 2 am and just started PLAYING!
Yes, just messing around on the top bunk with toys.
We quickly put an end to that. Then at 4am they did it AGAIN.
I was ready to unscrew the light bulb in their room
And lock them in there FOREVER!
We put an end to the madness AGAIN and
They finally went back to sleep.
WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT????

SICKER THAN A DOG

Ever since we got home from our Christmas Vacation we have ALL been sick.
With what you may ask?
A more appropriate question would be what HAVEN'T we had?
Here is the list of haves:

THE FLU
(all of us)
GREEN NASTY SNOT NOSE COLDS
(all of us)
RSV
Siena
EAR INFECTIONS
Siena and Marcus
SINUS INFECTION
(me-yeah, and probably Matt is he went to the DR to find out)
So, needless to say, the antiblog has been very neglected.
Stay tuned......I'll get on it!

Defrosting bucket o POOP!

We have this lovely 5 gallon bucket right outside our front door.
For those of you that don't know-we do not live in a neighborhood.
We live at the end of a dirt road like my parents used to.
When we have a poopy diaper, we toss it in. When it gets full, we empty it.
We are too lazy and uncivilized to use anything like unto a daiper genie.
It was a huge solid frozen mass until just the last few days when it has been 40.
Now it is defrosting and we can actually put them all in the trash.

The Evidence

Tiny finger pokes in the Bag Balm-we use this for diaper rash.

The Culprit-Siena 11 month old trouble maker

She had this goo on her face (I thought it was snot)

I noticed something on her clothes (I thought it was drool)

Then she grabbed me with her ever so greasy hand

I proceeded to wipe Bag Balm off of most of her exposed skin.

There is reason she is known as CURIOUS GEORGE!

Jumping on the Bandwagon

Well, here we are with a blog. Can you believe it? Matt and I decided that this will be an ANTI blog! So let me just say that this will NOT be your run of the mill touchy feely kind of blog. If you proceed to look at this url, you may see things that will scare you. Stay tuned. I am currently trying to help 2 toddlers paint without making too big of a mess, my baby is screaming, and oh did I mention that we are all sick. I'll post more tonight or maybe tomorrow. Enjoy!
