K-I Can't believe Ethan is 5 and
I-s old enough to go to school, like for real
N-ever in a million years did I think this
D-ay would come so soon, but come it did
E-than was SO excited mostly cuz he thought he'd get to
R-ide the bus to school but no we have to drive him
G-ood thing we live close or else he'd probably be tardy a lot
A-lthough we've been doing pretty good with the shortcut we discovered
R-eally, really glad Ethan is enjoying school so far
T-hough I wish I could be a fly on the wall just to see what he's REALLY like at school
E-ven though he likes it, every night when tucking him in, I tell him he's got school tomorrow and he says, "AGAIN?"!
N-ow that he's in school all day, Abby is SO bored with just boring old Mom!
{poor baby}
Keeping Daddy close
The school is brand new and apparently is quite eco-friendly (we missed that tour since we were partying it up in Utah). But it has it's own windmill and this nice little pond and some recycled materials were used in the building of the school, I think and...I'm not sure what else (see...missed the tour)? Whatever makes a school eco-friendly apparently this school has it.
Here's outside his classroom where everyone gets a hand.
Ethan quickly found his name and sat right down, thanks to Pre-K he knows the drill.
Trying not to cry...me...not him. And actually I didn't cry when we dropped him off, I did cry when I picked him up. I think I was just SO relieved to see him and that he was still alive (haha)! And I missed him a little bit too! ;)
Isn't he a good student? Already working on his coloring sheet before we even leave!
And almost a month into school and Ethan is doing great! He's still my shy guy but I think he's starting to warm up to everyone and is having fun! On the 2nd or 3rd day of school I asked him if he'd made friends with some of the boys in his class and he said "Yep! AND the girls!" No two ways about it, he is his father's son!
