A plea for cards for a sweet little girls who's twin sister just lost her battle

to cancer! Jennifer McGuire is collecting cards for Grace and you can find all the details here on Jennifer's blog.

for Jennifer's card drive for Grace

IMG_0694

I have a twin sister and I couldn't image my life without her. A long time ago when we were 11 yrs old living in Germany she got hit by a car. When the ambulance came everyone thought I was the one who got hit cause I was so hysterical. ( She just had a few bruises) I have been wanting to send more cards for Jennifer's other card drives but, for this plea I had to drop everything and I wanted to make a fun and silly card to hopefully put a smile on Grace's face. I printed several of this photo of our "Max" to make cards for the sick children. I have to admit he is pretty adorable. Off to finish some other projects. Have a great evening :)

P.S. Don't forget there is still time for my blog candy. Here are the details.
P.S.S. The bird is a Hero Arts stamp and the sentiment too.

SRM has a card sketch challenge and the

the WINNER will receive a SRM Stickers Prize package, including their new CHA Chicago releases!!!!!! How cool is that and I am here to tell you that they are AWESOME. HERE is more details and this is my take on the sketch.

Happy

Thanks a Bunch

All of these papers are from SEI Claire Collection. I cut the flowers from the paper and added color with Copics. For the more orange flower I added glossy accents. I hope you are able to particapte in the challenge & you can use ANY sticker on your card. See you with more cards soon.

All you have to do is register & it will track your spending. Every $15.00 you spend you can pick ANY FREE image or sets! Another advantage is if you computer crashes & you loose all your images ....all you have to do is contact Squigglefly and since you registered you will  be able to download your lost images. Pretty Cool :) I also think you will want to check out Jane's blog here she is so talented!!

The dotted paper on the card is leftover digi paper.  The ADORABLE  bee is from this set below and it can be purchased here.

The stickers are from SRM and you can find them here.

A big thanks to SQUIGGLEFLY for six months of wonderful images to work with, a great group of women and fun challenges. I loved every minute of it and I am grateful for the opportunity!
Thanks to everyone behind the scenes at Squigglefly as well :) I hope your week is off to a good start.
Hugs, Kathy
P.S. The black lines on the flower are added by me ...just in case you think they are to much. If you like them they are so easy to add to Jane's image. Give some dots a try too.

The paper is by Betsy Tuma called "Gardern Party Patterns" and all of the papers are so so pretty. You can see the full digikit  here. The stamp is a Hero Arts new Butterfly. I stamped the butterfly on the green dotted paper twice, cut two times and added some color, glitter, and white accents.

Lots of different things to share today

it's has been so busy with my son's graduation and this was the only photo I was able to get snapped with his hat on. I am so proud of him :)

and then my daughter turned fifteen so fifteen of these gals went to dinner for her Birthday. My dd is on the right in blue.
fortunately I had a bit of time to make her a card with this new Hero Arts stamp here
lots and lots of tiny dots. The black dots are with the new Sharpie "fine" pen. Of course I had to use my trusty SRM sticker for the sentiment. I encourage for you to have some on had for a quick card. I used this sticker sheet here.
I used the sketch from CPS sketch challenge.
and I just have to show you this stamp set I am dying to buy. It's one of the new releases from Penny Black called Betsy Bluebell. Isn't she soooooo adorable....love her!! You can find her right here.

Thanks for stopping and sorry I haven't been by your blog. Have a great week :)

SRM Stickers and DeLovely Blog Hop

Hello friends today is SRM Stickers DeLovely Blog Hop!
To start, please visit SRM Stickers blog for a full list of blogs to visit and the blog hop details.
The hop continues all weekend long with a chance to win a SRM Prize Package.

If you are hopping you have just visited the wonderfully talented Amy's blog and now it's my turn. I hope my work reflects how much I loved working with this lovely "DeLovely" collection by Cosmo Cricket.

I am so in love with these elegant flowers and these in particular I cut out from the paper. I outlined the flowers and bird with a thin black sharpie  and it gave them more dimension. Since I was in the mood to doodle I had to add some of my white dots with my trusty white gel pen. I cut the "believe" from this  sticker sheet from SRM. The frame and bird are chipboard ...more on that below.

Now these flowers are the DeLovely chip board flowers that are so nice and thick and have a backing on them so you don't need any adhesive! How great is that.  I made this after the first card and my black marker and gel pen were right in front of me so I just had to add those black outlines and more white dots. I hope you like the effect. Love the "happy" sticker from SRM here. For the next card I refrained from any dots and it was hard to do but, I still had to outline.

I had to cut more of these yummy flowers and wanted to keep this card simple. The bottom is hand stitched with embroidery floss and I used a sentiment from my used  graduation stickers  here . You guessed it you get  a lot of mileage from these stickers.  The boarder is a PapertryInk cutting plate.

Thanks for visiting and your comments are always appreciated.
Now it's time to hop to the oh so talented Carole's blog here.

Two Post Monday with SRM stickers & Squigglefly

MY SRM CARDS AND POST HERE

Can I tell you I just love my SRM stickers and these are so much fun and great for so many applications.  I used  this and this and I had so many  choices on each sheet that it took me awhile to choose. The stamp is from Pure Innocence and the adorable sun is from Penny Black available in this awesome set here.

For this card I had the same problem  of choosing which sticker to use. So I decided to layer them for my background and it looks really good in person. I used  this set again and this. The image is from The Greeting Farm. I love how glossy accents give the sunglasses a realistic look. Don't forget to check out SRM's challenge here. I hope you have time to enter and there is an opportunity to guest design for SRM!

MY SQUIGGLEFLY CARDS AND POST HERE

The challenge this week at Squigglefly is to use newsprint on a card. I tore a page from a vintage book and put it right into my printer to print the digi image. I colored it with some Copic markers and covered the image with Ranger's Studio multi medium. What i was looking for was a canvas texture that you would see on a hot air balloon.  Here you can purchase the image.  On the paper I scored some lines and added some distress ink . Love the pattern and it's a digikit  from Jen Martakis here.

For the Squigglefly challenge go here.

Isn't this image awesome....when I saw it I couldn't wait to color it. Nina Brackett is the artist and it's available here.

Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful week. My son is graduating from high school today!
Hugs, Kathy

Just a quick post

 IMG_0527

IMG_0530

Hello Friends, It has been a busy and wonderful weekend and I am popping in for a quick post because I am waiting up for my son to come rolling in. Caardvarks's challenge is to make a card with any kind of embossing and I used both on this card. The image is from TGF digital gallery. I'll be back soon with a card with a Squigglefly image. How was your weekend?
Hugs,Kathy

Mom can I put my fish in the bathtub?

I have to admit that I love to create little scenes. If I had time I would have a part two with the girl and the fish in the bath tub together.

IMG_0512

IMG_0520

For the wallpaper I used Shari from Hero Arts color layering technique here. Tim  Holtz distress ink in three different shades worked wonderful and I used three shades of lavender markers.

To create the picture on the wall I just had to use my go to sentiments from SRM stickers. Scoring the "tile" floor gave me the realistic look I was going for. The girl is from Pure Innocence and you can see how I prepared her for the fish.  The texture is created on the fish by putting colorless blender on  a rag and dabbing on the fish after coloring.

Tomorrow or rather today is Friday and I am pretty happy about that. I can't thank you all enough for your comments and I apologise that I haven't been by. I feel so fortunate to have such wonderful blogger buddies. Happy Weekend! Kathy

P.S. The fish are from Hero Arts CL372 called Ocean of Joy

This Birthday card is for my nephew. Tim Holtz embossing folder and birdcage. I coated the cage with Glossy Accents in matte. For the dots a white gel pen does the trick.  I hope you all are good? Hugs,Kathy
