Michael's Blessing

Here's some picture's from Michael's blessing a couple sundays ago. It was nice to have family come and join us. Most of them had to get up extra early to come in from Wasilla to be at church with us at 9am.We really appreciated it. We didn't get a chance to get any family pictures together but here are some of the boys

Blake in his cute outfit. He looks so grown up in it.

Blake's Birthday

My little boy is TWO!!!That's right on September 4th Blake turned two. It's amazing how fast they grow up. He's starting to talk, throw balls, put simple puzzles together, and so much more.  Blake was a lucky boy this year and he had two birthday parties, one was with us on he's birthday and the other one we had with my family on Sunday. Here's a few picture's from both of them.

Denali Weekend

This last weekend was are traditional Denali weekend. My family goes up there every Labor day weekend. This tradition started when I was about 11 or 12 years old and over 20 years later we're still going. We always have a lot of fun just hanging out as a family relaxing, hiking, and being crazy together. This year because of little Michael, James and I stayed at a bed and breakfast with mom and dad. It was a great place, the room was at least as big as our apartment and had everything you'd need including the Kitchen sink.
We also had some crazy weather while we were there. The wind at times was blowing around 50 to 60 miles and hour, I thought the outside door would blow in. James took Blake outside in it while we were cleaning up and he almost got blown over. The colors in Denali right now are beautiful, the leaves on the trees are a bright yellow and the tundra is bright red, you've never seen something so beautiful.   No matter how many times I go up there I never get tired of it. Here's to many more years of Denali.

CATCHING UP

It's been way to long since I last wrote anything and a lot has happened. Michael join are family on June 20th. James graduated from collage and started his new job at Providence as a Medical Tech. , he basically works in the labs trying to figure out what illness you have. Blake is growing up more everyday. He's starting to talk and becoming a true two year old. And I'm just trying to keep up with everyone. I received a new calling at church, I'm now in the Relief Society Presidency. I'm enjoying being a new mom again, even with the challenges it brings sometimes, watching Blake grow and having James around more. After a year and a half of him working on Saturdays he at least for now gets to spend them with us. I'm so grateful for my family and I love them all so much.

Blake's Hair Cut

So, I finally gave in and gave Blake a hair cut the other day. I was a my sister Kary's house and asked if she would help me since I'd never cut hair before and didn't even no where to start. So we put Blake on the counter, gave him a sucker and I went at it while Kary talked me through it. I decided to just cut the front, which he really needed because he couldn't see  anymore, and leave the back since I'm just not ready to cut off his curls. All in all I think it turned out pretty good.
Blake a couple of weeks ago. See how the bangs fall in front of his eyes.

After the hair cut. He'd just had a bath and look how curly his hair is :)
This is what he looks like now. Isn't he a cutie, I love this little  guy.

Late Night

Oh the joy of finals. Here I am, it's almost 11 pm and I'm waiting for James to call and tell me he's ready to come home. This morning when I knew I could have the car today I was excited that I'd be able to get out of the house and do something, I didn't know exactly what I was going to do, but I'd been in the house for two days and was looking forward to breathing fresh air and taking Blake out for awhile.
So, I dropped James off at school and tried to figure out what I wanted to do. Finally I decided to go and see my friend Heather at work during her lunch hour, it was nice to see her and have some adult conversion for awhile. Then I thought I'd get some Christmas shopping done so Blake and I went to Burlington and got a gift for James. After shopping Blake needed a nap so I came home and I've been here ever since. I thought James would be done with things at least by 8 or 9 , but here it is now 11:09 and I'm still waiting. It's a good thing I love him so much since picking him up means I have to wake Blake up and put him in the car. So, oh the joy of finals I just remind myself it's just till August and then he'll be done. Yea!!!!
PS I do love James very much and I'm very proud of him and all he does for us.

Blake's First Time Playing In The Snow

We still are waiting for are first snow fall here in Anchorage so, if we want to play in some snow we have to go to the mountains. Well last Tuesday I my visiting my sister Kary and we did just that. We all loaded up in the car and went up to Hatchers Pass. We were going to have a picnic outside but the tables were covered with snow, so we ate in the car then bundled up the kids and went and played. We had fun running around and throwing snowballs. Blake loved walking and playing with the snow too. I can't wait till it snows here in Anchorage, I hope it's soon.

Blake's first time playing in the snow, as you can see by the look on his face he loved it.
