Lilacs from LOTV

Hmm, blue lilacs! I really love these Cottage Charm papers from NitWit Collections so I coloured up the flowers to match!
This is one of those 'sensible and useful' floral cards that I promised hubby I would make. Ooh, gold star for me ;-) (I doubt it'll last - I'll be making frou frou fairy cards next week ;-)
My little one had her first 'dance' class on Friday. The class is for 18mnths to 3yrs so she's the youngest. It was a bit like herding cats but she LOVED it! She joined in brilliantly and jigged merrily - especially when she got her hands on a tambourine. Good times :-)

Hope that you're having a great weekend. Sending hugs, Jayne xx

New Stamp!

Good Morning! Goodness me it's pouring down! I got soaked on the school run - you know when rain soaks up from the bottom of your jeans! Yeuch! Hope you are fine - and dry :-)

So this is the first outing for this pretty Santoro stamp (SNCS004). I love this set of stamps :-)

I swear in real life her face isn't orange! hahaha. Must learn better photography skills! I've coloured her up with copics and teamed her with Docrafts French Lavender capsule papers and ribbon. Hmm. I have an urge to add more embellies but I'm trying very hard to leave it alone!
I will be off as a cup of tea awaits :-) Thank you for coming to visit and special thanks to all whoare kind enough to leave comments. Hugs, Jayne xx

New Sentiments :-)

I got this sentiment after Squirrel sent me a card with a fab sentiment on the same stamp sheet! It so made me laugh I just had to have the set. It's from CC Designs 'Snarky Christmas' stamp set. The papers are Holiday Bouquet over at NitWit Collections.
Just love this image!
Back to school today :-( Not long before Easter! Indigo took in the scrapbook pages she made and I really hope she gets to show them! Long morning at the hospital yesterday with the little one having more allergy tests. I do wish manufacturers would stop putting 'may contain peanuts' on EVERYTHING. It doesn't make life easy. Grrrrrrrrr.Sorry, it's becoming my number one pet hate!

Right, I'm off to find some mischief :-) Have a great day xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Inspired by Coops :-)

This is another sample for Samuel Taylor's Craft Shop. The fabulously brilliant Coops has blogged lots of utterly fabulous cards using the Woodware age and word stamps and those cards were great inspiration for my craft shop makes :-)
Now the papers were soooo beautiful that I used every scrap and now I don't know if they were Pion Designs or Maja Designs :-( Aghhhh. I must check the next time I'm in the shop - I may even treat myself to some more! . . . I've just been and they are by Maja Designs. I did not buy anymore as I took my daughter in and she 'needed' the Woodware Lion stamp!!! She's made a great card with it though!
Huge thanks to everyone who left a comment on my daughter's cards, she was so super thrilled. I am very grateful to you all for your kindness.

Our trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park was fantastic but I've certainly paid for it - I've been in pain ever since. It was worth it though; the girls both had a fabulous day.

Hope you're having a great weekend, hugs Jayne xx

Made by Indigo!

Today's cards have all been made by my daughter Indigo, aged 7! We're having a very busy, crafty half term ;-) She's just got to the point where she can do all the stamping and colouring by herself - the only thing I need to do is help cutting the paper to size.
The first card is using a Woodware turtle stamp and papers ransacked from my stash ;-)
We had a trip to the Range and Indigo found a couple of stamps she loved - I love the owl! They have a fab selection of clear stamps each for £1. Indigo has promised she will share so long as the stamps don't end up in Mummy's craft box! The cheek of it!!!!!!
We did manage to get to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park yesterday and had a fabulous day. The baboons and giraffes are my favourites and the girls love to see the anteater!
We're off to the Supermarket now. Oh, the glamour of it all :-)  Hugs, Jayne x

Birthday Wishes

We're having a really busy half term week. Indigo has been keen to 'plant' stuff so we've made a dish of cress and have planted some lettuce seeds in an indoor tray :-) I'm trying to get her to hold off with the potatoes until we've passed the frost season!!
This is a sample I made for Samuel Taylors. I'm only allowed to use what the sell so no flowers, lace and all the other scrummy embellies I can't usually resist! The stamp is one from Woodware and the papers are 'Eau De Nil' from Papermania.

Sunday was the day of my daughter's dance show. The ballet routine was to music from Frozen and the tap routine was a super hero medley finishing up with I need a Hero! What a Wonder Woman she made :-) It's such a fabulous dance school. No exams, no competitions, no make-up - just little girls of all shapes and sizes and abilities strutting their stuff! It's always a fabulous show; nice and relaxed. Only one 'Elsa' took her tiara out because it was a 'flipping nuisance'. Hehehehe.

Sending hugs and hoping you're having a great week. Jayne xx

A new note ;-)

So, this week 'we' are learning 'G'. Apparently this is another note using a fret - I think we may find we have knotted fingers by the weekend! Somehow my little cherub has knocked a chunk out of the neck of the guitar - luckily it's from Home Bargains and not a priceless musical instrument ;-) The music lessons are, I think, bringing us closer together. Indi practices and then gets me to have a go - I feel that we're learning together :-)

Anyhoo, this card was inspired by my very own little Taylor Swift ;-)
I'm trying to make my cards simpler! It won't last - I'm bereft without a ton of embellishments!

The delish papers are Cottage Charm from NitWit Collections. I think the hessian is from The Range; they are doing lots of fabulous embellishment packs for a pound! I got some fabulous pearl trim and some little ceramic flowers both for a pound. The little key charm is from a pack of charms from Dreamees.
Last day of school - half term is finally here! Yippee. Year 3 is proving to be really tough :-( I hope the weather stays ok - we just need one nice day so we can get to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park!!

Right, I am off. Hope you're having a great week. Thank you so much for stopping by. Hugs, Jayne xx

Ooops!

Hmmm. You know those 'sensible' floral cards I promised the hubster I'd make (because my card box is full of 'fairy cards with a thousand flaming flowers' - apparently)? Well, I made about four and then got distracted by fairy cards with thousands of flowers. Ooops! So today I am back with a big box of Hunkydory stuff trying to make something 'sensible'. Will let you know how that goes. . . .

In the meanwhile I have a fairy card to share with you ;-) Beautiful Pom Pom with 'Perfect Pair' paper from NitWit Collections.
There's nowhere near a thousand flowers on this card!
She's definitely one of my favourites ;-)

Right I'm off to find my 'inner' sensible cardmaker. Super hugs, Jayne x

Happily Ever After

Super fast post today! This is my first Tiddly Inks stamp and I'm very giddy :-)  I kept it simple so that I could join in at Without Words!
I love this Cheery Lynn Heart Doily die and I haven't used it in an age. Shame on me!
I got my knickers in a knot with the colouring :-0 I'll have another go with it tonight.

Hope that you're having a great weekend. My daughter got to play her guitar in assembly this week ;-) Honestly, four lessons and she's off!!

Sending hugs, Jayne

Cake, glorious cake!

Being on a diet, I have decided, is no fun!! I have, however, lost three pounds and feel like I've made a start :-)

Hmm, the lighting on this one looks peculiar - I wonder if someone has been fiddling with the camera?
The image is Glorious Cake from Lili of the Valley and the papers are 'Country Meadows' from NitWit Collections. I don't usually go for yellow but a little while ago I saw a stunning creation over on Kelly's blog (Little K Smith) and decided to get those yellow pens out :-)

Hurray - so very nearly the weekend . Yippee yae yay! Hugs, Jayne x

Best Friends!

My daughter came for a cuddle yesterday and as she snuggled up I realised how grown up she was getting. 'Oh my little girl is nearly all grown up' I said. 'Soon you won't need me' - you know me, I'm all about the dramatic. She looked at me and said, 'Oh Mummy, I'll always need you. . . . You'll have to wipe my babies bums. I'm NOT doing THAT!' So, there you have it. I will always be needed.

Today's card is for another friend ;-)
This took ages to colour - although it doesn't look like it!!
The image is Paige and Peggy pour some tea from Stampingbella and the papers are 'Flower Shoppe' from Nitwit Collections.

I'm absolutely frozen at the moment. Hope things are warmer with you! Sending hugs, Jayne xxxxxxx
