Is it bedtime yet?

I've been awake since 2-30 as my poor big girl was sick through the night! She was very brave and thankfully seems much better this morning! :-)

Today's card is the card I made for my best friends birthday. I've used the Uptown Girl 'Lily Loves Laundry' stamp and papers from the Romance and Roses kit from NitWit Collections. I'm not thrilled with the end result! I love the papers and the stamp but it just looks like a pig's ear to me!!!! Anyhoo, here it is.

I really love these papers!

Indigo has rifled through my box of stamped images and is busy colouring with 'her' promarkers.

Hope you haven't been too badly affected by the weather. We have snow but not enough to seriously disrupt life. Stay warm! Hugs, Jayne x

Love Struck!

Ok, I'm over the pen thing! Really, I didn't need them and I love Anglesey (rain or shine). I'm a much happier bunny this week.

Today's offering is a wedding card which teams LOTV with NitWit papers - my favourite combo ;-)

I now find that I've run out of lace - how could I let that happen? The hearts and flowers are all in the Love Struck collection so I thought I may as well make use of them.
I think we made a breakthrough with the guitar last night :-) I can't remember if I mentioned that my big girl (aged 7) started lessons three weeks ago? Well, this weeks task was to play four lines of music and we weren't getting anywhere. Then, after much clapping of the beat and listening to the practice CD it all just fell into place and she played it super well (ok, I don't think Slash would've been bowled over but I'm her Mummy ;-) ) I hope this weeks homework isn't as stressful!

Thank you for coming by. We have snow forecast for tonight and tomorrow :-(  I hope you're keeping warm and well! Hugs, Jayne x

Am I just too old to sulk?

Really, I must get a grip. I really NEED those yummy Spectrum Aqua markers. Okay, not really. But, I do really WANT them ;-) If I buy them I will not be able to afford the rest of the holiday payment - I suggested to Annette that actually I was probably saving the family from a really wet week on Anglesey but I'm not sure she bought that as a good enough reason to splash the cash!!! So I may have been a bit sulky this week. Just a bit though :-)

Today, I have an engagement card using an LOTV stamp that I've had for AGES and not inked. I'm a shocker. If I had those pens I'm sure I'd make more cards! hehehehe.
The papers are from the Romance and Roses Collection over at NitWits. I think this one might be my all time favourite. Are you allowed lots of favourites? The flowers are from WOC and the butterflies were made using a Joanna Sheen die set.
I really have warmed to this stamp. I must use it again soon.

I've started my diet again. This time I'm just cutting down rather than going on a crazy starvation/torment yourself diet. I've been quite good - helped by wearing jeans that are too tight which just puts you off raiding the fridge! Genius.

Thank you for stopping by. Biggest of hugs, Jayne x

Err, nope, it's not a waterfall!!!

Oh dear me! I got into such a pickle last night. I texted Squirrel to ask if this card would be allowed into the 'Spring' challenge at Without Words. Well, I think I may have overdone the shandy because I got all my words mixed up as I described it as a punk waterfall card!!!! Later texts saw me trying to explain it was actually a fountain card with pink flowers - only for Squirrel to ask what the heck a fountain card was! After ten minutes I was sobbing with hysterical laughter and totally unable to text and explain further. Sometimes I wonder how I got this far in life!!

Anyhoo, this is my card AND I coloured it with distress inks :-O  I wasn't going to share it as my watercolouring is a little suspect but these papers are lush and worth a look!
I'm pretty sure that the stamp is from Kaisercraft - it is such a pretty stamp. The papers are from the DCWV Mariposa stack which is utterly delicious. I've had it ages but haven't wanted to cut it up because it's sooooooooo lovely. Duh!
After I've finished this post I'm off to take a does of Qi-Ribose (from Viridian). It is supposed to help those with Fibromyalgia and M.E. - something to do with magnesium reducing fatigue. At this point I'm willing try pretty much anything! I'm hoping that if I'm not quite so tired I'll cope better with the pain. I'll let you know if I'm jogging round the block next week. ;-)

Right, I'm off. Thank you for stopping by. Hugs, Jayne xx

I'm in trouble!!

Oh dear, I'm in bother ;-) My husband needed a floral card for a colleague last week and went off to my box of cards to find not a single floral card remaining! He came to tell me that the box was full of cards for little girls and there was nothing remotely suitable! Oh heck! I have been really busy (in my defence both girls have been poorly!). Anyhoo, I have tried to make a batch flat, useful floral cards!!!!! Oooh, just my thing!
I made this using one of the Sheena Douglass floral stamps. I'm not good at CAS but I try :-)
I am now on a mission to replace my stocks of floral cards suitable to be given by my husband and Grandma!!
Watch this space.  Thank you for stopping by, hope all is well with you. Biggest of hugs, Jayne xx

Yippeeeee!

This is the card I sent my BFF for Christmas. I love her. She's the only person in the world crazier than me:-)
The delish papers are from the Christmas Linen set from NitWit Collections.
I must've coloured this before my hands got really painful! My colouring at the mo is atrocious :( When I wake up on a morning I have to physically straighten one finger because it just won't budge!!!!!

On a MUCH happier note I was thrilled to see I'd come top 3 at Without Words with this card:

Top 3 at WW means more to me than anything - ya know how I struggle with CAS! Enormous thanks to Annette, Squirrel and all the other fab Word birds ;)

Thank you for stopping by, big hugs, Jayne xxx
