Yosemite National Park

Today we spent the day at Yosemite. It is the first time that we have been here and it is one of the most beautiful places I've seen.

Layla was really good in the car hen she wasn't sleeping.

Sequoia National Park

This was our first trip to Sequoia NP. We didn't stay long but got a picture with the largest tree on earth by wood volume.

Growing girl

Layla is getting so big! She is six months old! She sits by herself, rolls over (but really hates to be on her tummy still), and just loves to babble and talk to you. This is a really fun age. I especially love when she gets her tired giggle fits. So freaking funny. Oh yeah and she got her bottom two teeth the beginning of July. She still gets up once or twice a night to eat. I don't mind too much because she goes right back to sleep and let's face it...she needs the food. She's so tiny!

4 month pic. At her dr appt she was 11 lbs 1.5 oz (3%) 23 1/4 in (20%) and 50% for head

6 month pic. 13lbs 4.5oz (5%) 25 in (20%) and 70% for head. Has the Morrill head I guess.

Love/Hate relationship

We've been trying to feed Layla solids, but she doesn't love it too much. I make my own baby food and so far her favorites are sweet potatoes, peaches, squash and oatmeal. She also loves to chomp on apples and carrots with her new little teethies. Here's a play by play of how it used to go...

Updates

Before I quit my job, one of my coworkers asked me what I was going to do with all my free time. I imagined days filled with cooking awesome dinners, learning new hobbies, getting my house and family organized. Yeah right. What free time? I am busy every day entertaining my little Layla bean. It is mostly so fun, but sometimes really frustrating (like when she is teething and doesn't sleep). I can't believe she is almost six months. Time going by so fast. Here are some pictures of what we've been up to lately. Summer is such a blast and so busy.

Family walk at Tanner park. Abbie's favorite off leash dog park. The water was really high and there were signs posted about dogs drowning, so she didn't get to swim that much. Layla is all covered up and napping on me.

With daddy swimming in the pool. Our wonderful friends have a heated pool and Layla could pretty much live in there.

We had a family outing at Liberty park

My sister Brittany got home from serving a mission in Texas

Britt and Layla in the same picture.

My dad was in town and couldn't get enough of little bean.

Bear Lake fun with family boating at the cabin. The water was very cold, so Layla and I just stayed on the boat.

We did swim in the hot tub later, don't worry, it wasn't actually hot yet.
