Hershey Pennsylvania

First day of school
A day at the Zoo!

Evie made new friends.  These cute kids are Lissy and Fin.  Evie talks about her constantly and is always planning the next thing we are going to do with them.

These are pictures of the girls seeing how tall they are ... which then was followed by a chorus of bear noises.

Hott and Happy!

Missing Utah

A few days ago I informed Evie that we needed to go pay our rent.  As we were collecting our things and getting ready to go. We had this discussion:
Mom: Get your shoes on because we need to go pay our rent.
Evie: Why are we paying rent?
Mom: Because we have to pay the people that let us stay here.
Evie: But I don't want to pay rent and stay here FOREVER.  I want to go back to Utah!
She then spent the next 30 min. describing to me the processes of how we get back to Utah and how we should do it right away.

The sad thing is just this morning Evie began to tell me that she wants to go back to her old primary class with her old teacher and her old friends.  She wants to see her friends (cousins) and is ready to get on a plane and go back to Utah.

I knew this would hit eventually.  I had feeling that she thought we were on vacation and that after a while we would just go back home.  But Evie said all we have to do is go to the Airport and we can fly home.  Oh Evie, if only it was that easy.

Hershey Park

White coat Ceremony

It is official, we are now in it for good.  We have jumped with two feet in and there is no going back. I am so proud of Joseph for all the work he has done to make it this far and the character he has shown along the way.  I am lucky to have such an amazing guy to call my own.  I am excited ( and a little nervous) for what the future holds for us and know he will do great!!!

Evie turns 4

This little girl turned four!!!! and oh boy... she was ready!!! Ever since her birthday every person she talks to she introduces her self as Evie who is four.  She is very proud of that number and says that next year when she turns 5 she will be big and be a mommy.
This girl is a ball of fun and we have a hard time slowing her down.  One of her favorite things to do is run as fast as she possibly can and has found a new love with the introduction to fast rides at the theme park.
Evie always says it how it is.  She corrects me if I am wrong.  And never forgets.
She learns quickly and when she loves something she knows it and so does everyone around her.
Genevieve has a love for girly things is very opinionated in what looks good.  if she had the option, I have a feeling she would wear a princess dress every single day.
Evie is very clean and loves to make her bed... she also loves to make a good mess. Except when it comes to food.  She has always and will always be a very clean eater.
She is beautiful inside and out with a great passion for life and learning! We love her for who she is and are so grateful that Heavenly Father entrusted us with such an amazing spirit.

Cross Country

They say a picture speaks a thousand words, but these pictures don't say much about the fact that we spent 3 days driving across the country.

The drive was fun.  It really was.  The kids were with my mom and and so we could just push through the pain and drive as much as we possibly could.  (But really, it was kinda painful.  I have not sat that long...ever.   The only thing that saved us was our caffeinated Sobes.  Which, made both of us super hyper and goofy and resulted in some good times.

Jonah is Tonsiless

A week before we moved we took Jonah in to the Doctor to look at an eye infection and before we knew it he was getting a Tonsillectomy, an adnoidectomy and tubes in his ears.
Despite what we put him through, he was a Champ.  I felt really mean when in the morning all he wanted was a drink of water and I told him, "No." I mean, look at him.  He was miserable.

And this was why.  When I told the ENT that we were going to med school in a week he offered to let us watch the surgery!!! It was super cool! One doctor called them kissing tonsils and the ENT called them  "trophy tonsils" and they were exceptionally large as you can see.

So that is why he snored and his voice was so low....
After the surgery, I thought that it would be easy trying to get Jonah to rest - you know- because he didn't feel good.  But it was the opposite.  Every time I turned around Jonah was jumping on the couch or running around teasing someone.  Practically bouncing off the walls.  He was more hyper then than I had ever seen.   Whether it was the Loratab or the increase in oxygen I know not, but I do know that I am glad we got them out.
