Potty Training...Not

Let me start by saying I HATE potty training. I dread it. I don't do it. Its one of those things I've always been like when they're ready they'll start using the toilet.

Two days ago Joslyn found some panties. She took her diaper off and put the panties on. I told her if she was wasn't going to wear a diaper she needed to go pee and poo on the toilet. That's exactly what she did she ran to the bathroom and went #2 all on her own. I was so proud. I always heard girls were easier to train but this was cake. She only had one accident that day and even was dry the whole night.

Then yesterday happened. One time I asked Jos do you have to go to the bathroom, No. I go in the kitchen and turn around to a two year old standing in a puddle ughh. First time I think okay she just had a little accident. Nice mommy will still play this potty training game. I Assured her it was okay and that she's a big girl. Got another pair of panties and reminded her only she gets to wear those not Jaycie.

What happens two hours later?? I find her in the bathroom, yay... but she peed in her pants next to the toilet!! I'm thinking,"For the love. I am NOT going to be doing this all day." I have the talk with her. You know the one where you ask the child if they are sure they want to wear panties cause if so they need to use the toilet. Yes panties Mom. Okay one more chance.

Let's just say by the night time the panties were all in the washer and the diaper was back on. This morning she woke up and said, " Mom my legs are dry." Well for my sanity and happiness we are going to keep that diaper on till she literally teaches herself .

Cute Kid Things

So much for my recommitment. I stink. Here goes another attempt to start up again. Cute things about the kids...

Koki recorded a church song with a friend a while back. We were listening to it this morning and I told the boys, " This is dad singing..."
Gideon: Yeah I know
Jarom: Ooooohhh
Isaac (with a very concerned serious face): What!?! What do you mean? Wait, does that mean the Voice called him?

Gideon was telling me that a parent on his football team knows me. He asked if Gideon was an Ah You and he said,"Yeah, well my middle name is Ah You but I took my dad's last name of Cline."
Last night Joslyn was laying down next to me. She talks a lot lately and last night she was talking away then said," I'm awesome." Of course I start laughing and ask her who said she was awesome. Her reply," My dad".

Jarom had his first soccer game of the season last night. He came home from school and couldn't wait to change into his soccer stuff even though his game wasn't for another 3 hours. I had to tell him to keep the shin guards off till the game started. He did such a good job and loves to play forward. He runs after the ball so well. It was fun to see him play.
Jaycie is walking everywhere. She is growing so fast and such a great baby. Last week she had an ear infection and I didn't even realize it cause she was acting normal. She loves to eat whatever is on the floor. Her brothers spoil her like crazy. Her favorite thing to do is go up and down the stairs. It scares me so bad I don't like to look. One of the boys always watches her while she does this. We call it "Jaycie Patrol." This morning she woke up so early. I brought her to our bed and she just kept standing up talking to loud and then plopping herself backwards. She's at such a fun stage.

Well hopefully I can get better at writing things down. Its always so fun to go back and read it.
