Gideon's 8

Gideon is the ideal oldest child. He has always been such a great help to Koki and me. He is a wonderful example to his siblings and his testimony amazes us on a daily basis. I rely on him so much and I know sometimes he has a big load he carries in our family.  He is very protective of his siblings. I don't know what I would do without him. When he sees I've had a long night with Joslyn he'll close my door and have his brothers go downstairs so he can watch them. He's a great son.

Gideon turned 8 this year and chose to be baptized. He planned his program and didn't want anyone to get their feelings hurt. He had Rion and Nikos lead the songs. Uncle Gordon and Gigi gave talks. Grandma played the piano and Zion and Uncle Ken said the prayers. He even choose to sing a musical number, Baptism. He sang the first verse all by himself , Koki and him sang the second verse, then we all sang the third verse. I was really impressed that he wanted to do that. Afterwards we had a pool party at Uncle Jay's. We were so excited to share his big day with family and friends.

We hit the big 10

Koki and I always said we'd go somewhere fun for our 10 year anniversary.  He wanted Hawaii. I thought New York. What we didn't anticipate was having a 10 month old baby girl that clearly couldn't live without her mom and dad for more than a day. We decided to go away for a weekend instead while my sister watched ALL the kids, even our little princess.

Its amazing how fast time has gone by. I first met Koki in '96 at a BYU summer camp. At the time I was way WAY into him but supposedly he was focused on getting ready for his mission and didn't think about dating when I met him (that's his story and he's sticking to it). 4 Years later we ran into each other at BYU. We started dating and the rest is history.

Koki is an amazing husband. I am so thankful I am blessed to have him as my eternal companion. He changed my life. Because of him I am a better person. Love my husband. So excited I have eternity with him.
