new up at Charisma.... April Showers bring May Flowers!

good very early morning to you, crafty friends! hope you've been enjoying all my blabbering this week! :) i have been a busy little bee, and the week is far from over!

i tried something slightly different for the flourishes... they're actually the negative die-cuts from a used sheet of paper, and i just cut AROUND the cuts to make more flourishes! kind of a fun technique, and it really stretches your paper (not that it matters when you horde like i do).

i really enjoyed colouring this one, even though i REALLY struggle with anything with fur. :) Coco is a little different, and right up my alley!

another SOGgy Sneak - BALLOON KAYLEE!

okay gang, i'm SO excited about this one... not only because this is the only EXCLUSIVE clear stamp in the release (meaning she's never been available as a digi!), but because i tried something i've never done before and LOVE the result!

yes, there is another Balloon Kaylee available as a digi, but it's a younger, girlier version of her. ;) this one's brand spankin' new, and i absolutely LOVE her. she's so versatile, and i can see myself using this stamp for LOADS of occasions!

i'm also pleased with my very first attempt at colouring in BLACK AND WHITE! go, me! i've seen so many people do it so WELL, and honestly, i've been a little intimidated. but i thought i'd give it a shot, and i'm absolutely pleased with the result! maybe i'll try sepia tones next! oh, but let's end this little tangent here, and show you the rest, shall i? :) here's a little more...

and the icing on the cake for me... i used up that dotty paper, which has been sitting in my stash since i BEGAN paper crafting! hadn't the foggiest idea what to do with it, and it just didn't look right with ANYTHING. so an added bonus! :D

i don't usually print directly onto my cardstock, but it worked okay the first time, so i thought i'd give it another go. LOVE the ribbon, which is from Imaginisce, and the stamp is one of the yummy clings from Hero Arts.

BIG ONE! sooooo pleased. so pleased, in fact, that i spent a teeny bit of money at YourScrapbookStash.com - they have a ton of hot clearance stuff, a fabby 20% off code (APRIL20), the new Echo Park 6x6 pads, TONS of colours of baker's twine, the new SUPER-YUMMY BasicGrey "Hello Luscious", and awesome shipping and service. yay for new stuff!

i also ordered a couple of new things from the lovely DIANA's Etsy store - she has new doily blooms and multi-media button flowers, and they're DELISH! the girl is crafty! :D

i didn't, however, get my netbook yet. although i do have my eye on a cute little Toshiba, so i'm visiting NewEgg and Amazon to see when the price comes down. oh, and it's ORANGE. kinda got my name all over it. hee hee.

woooo! another challenge day, and i'm LOVING sharing all these things with you lately!

so today, we have a fabulously fun colouring challenge at Make it Colourful... PERFECT opportunity for you to bust out your scalloped nesties or die cuts and use 'em for fluffy clouds!

we want to see your SKY COLOURING techniques! trust me when i say this does NOT have to be a difficult challenge! my sky is much more subtle (and not NEARLY as pretty!) as my fellow Colour Addicts', but i had fun nonetheless!

i used the Make it Crafty "Whimsical Log" digi (one of my absolute faves!) and combined it with Sweet November's "Chanter Heartsong" (hi Amy!)...

i LOVE colouring this little sweetie!

Some Odd Girl is taking a bit of a turn....

no, don't worry! nothing is WRONG, and nothing is truly CHANGING, but we ARE looking forward to some new images, and a big release of real, physical, clear stamps in the shop! oh, and there's a little fun something-or-other up our little sleevies, but you'll have to wait for that...

today, however, we're doing things a little differently - our challenge is slightly out of the ordinary (at least for us Odd Girls!).

here's my clean and simple card - very different for me,
but i think he turned out cute!

i used a relatively new image (who was a FREEBIE for a short time), "Lovephant"! you can get him by CLICKING HERE! this was my first time printing DIRECTLY onto my cardstock, and it took some figuring (he was going to be a horizontal card, but that didn't quite pan out), but i think i've got it now. :)

our Odd Girls have done some seriously great things with this challenge (and a couple of them DEFINITELY stepped outside their comfort zones), so check out the challenge HERE, and play along with us! winner will get some free SOGgies of their choice, and our faves will get some LOYALTY POINTS to be applied toward free images! you have two weeks to play along, so HAVE FUN! :D

long week here - i've worked some overtime (and only had sunday off as our company's open house was saturday and i worked that), and i've had a migraine because of the weather, but we're almost at the weekend again and i can't wait! have a fantastic thursday, folks! xo

okay... visited the lovely Jingle's blog, saw her fabby card, saw the sketch, HAD to play. just bought this ADORABLE little stamp set and it was perfect. the flower accent, however, was a happy little surprise.

so here's the card i made:

i used one of the yummy Petaloo CANDIES from the Make it Crafty store, pulled the gem from the middle and replaced it with a Prima Pebble, and stuck some twine between the two.
