Ode to Birds

Ode to Birds
Poem by Heidi Williams
Photos by Quinn

 To the bird

of flight,

who travels the earth

 with speed in his wings,

that fly
over mountains and

valleys and rivers;
a few of the things

 that

you see.

The gracefulness we see in each stroke

of your wing as you

pull forcefully at the

air.

What other creature

has found this power

to lift

and soar through

the sky.

No need of machines

or oil or fuel

to aid in your journey

above.

Only the need

of what

nature

has already given,

which is there

for you

to succeed.

You have been

mimicked

by others, and

envied

by even more.

Still some don’t see

the might that

you carry,

above and beyond

what a mind could

wish.

And there are those,

who would

quickly end the

life

of one so swift.

The grace
you have,

the
charm
you carry,

is

seen

above all

things.

Philosophy on life

My brother Jeff  and his Grandpa Redmond

My Philosophy – by Jeff Redmond
We were all born to succeed in life. We are the artist in our painting in that we can create a master piece. We will most likely make mistakes. To many it just takes a little more of this color and a little less of that color to fix it to our liking. Sometimes others don’t see what the painter sees. So, out of all of his peers thoughts he tears it up, to start it all over . In life we do the same thing we build our thoughts, words and actions thinking what we perceive as right, when we were wrong. We need others with strong minds and ideas to get it right, the outcome is a better painting and person and through our own efforts and help of others we all come out on top of life’s challenges.

Hanging with Grandma Redmond

After a small work project, trimming the Apricot tree, we decided just to hang out for a while with Grandma Redmond.

Wait, I'm almost there.

 Piece of cake.

Try this.

Wow, this is harder than you make it look.

Grandma ! Hold on !
