Hey Barb

Hey Barb, What do you want to do today? I don't know... Maybe hang out, relax, soak up some sun.

Hey Barb... What are you REALLY going to do today.

Sweep and mop. Yup.

8 Load of laundry (even though there are only 5 people in my house) sure.

Nag ALL of your children to do their Saturday chores, YOU BET!

Eat Costco pizza, then wonder if you just smeared it all over your face or actually ate it. Yep!

Watch conference, oh wait.. what? Conference is on? DRAT! Wish I would have thought about this sooner! Yes, this is me admitting I missed ALL of morning session. BUMMER!

Happy Saturday, ya'll. I am going to dust and vacuum and maybe scrub a toilet, maybe.

A year ago, to the day we moved into our house. (last year on the 25th was on a Saturday) You can read HERE about the whole ordeal, which, it was one, but this year, this year has been spectacular!

In a year so much has changed. We feel so at peace at where life is headed. We are grateful for our little home, and for those of you who helped us so much. My parents and David's Parents for starters, both were amazing in the house process, my brother Matt and his wife Kim originally offered for us to stay at their home for a week or two, never imagining it would be an entire month! Thanks again to the both of you! To those who helped us pack up and those who helped us move in.. THANK YOU!

We have re-decorated every room since the initial "move in", I am sure at some point I will post the rooms, for now, you will just have to come by and visit :).

I know I say this time and time again, but we are so in love with where we are planted. We love our ward and the many, many friends here that love and support us, I feel like I hit the JACKPOT! David is settling in and only 7 weeks, yes 7 weeks away from kissing this year goodbye! That is a blessing in and of itself, and we couldn't be more proud of him and his accomplishments.

So as we approach this next year, we know we can look forward to growing even more as a family, finding joy in our journey and remembering that anything is possible, as long as we do it together!

love. my. life!

Mom'd my ride

With BEAUTIFUL winters around our neck of the woods the kids have been out and about on the bikes, I kinda felt left out...

NOT ANYMORE!!! Love my beach cruiser!

we call her 'Backpack"

Maddy is obsessed with her backpack... you will see, just scrowl down :)

She wears her backpack to bed...
She falls asleep on the couch with her backpack.
She went through the sprinklers with her backpack on.. ya, don't ask.
She wore her pack to Papas.
She wears her pack on her scooter...

She wears her pack while eating dinner.
At Midwestern... she has her pack.
And just boppin' around the house, she has her pack on!
Love this little girl, not the backpack so much... :)

Walking to church

Mom: Hey Riley... do you want to walk to church?
Riley: Ya, Mom!

Mom: Hey, Riley, WAIT UP!

Seriously buddy, wait for me...

ok, that's better!

Thing 1 and Thing 2

Riley's school had a Dr. Suess Night, and for the occasion the teacher asked me to make 125 'thing 1' and 'thing 2' cupcakes.

Here are the kids making 'truffla-trees' (is that how you spell that?)

3rd Grade Performance Choir

Keagan had the chance to sing with the Mountain Shadows Chorus this past week. You can start singing in Chorus in 4th grade, and I think this was a clever way to show the 3rd graders what they could do next year. It was fun watching all the kids singing. They are so cute!

Rocket fun

Keagan won a Stomp Rocket at the jump rope for heart event. The Styrofoam rocket hooks up to a base and when you stomp on the pad it shoots the rocket into the air, very fun! So what does David think to do? Let's take it to the top of the parking garage and shoot it off the roof! :)
Here are the girls waiting for the rocket.
The rocket, coming straight at my camera... Can you see it? It looks like a dot.
David peeking over to see where the rocket hit. Funny guy!

Phoenix LDS Temple

We are so lucky/blessed to have a Temple being built 5 minutes from our home. It's so fun to head to the Temple site and see the progress! Most of the time it just looks like a pile of dirt, but this last time the basement was well on it's way! My friend had a great idea of taking the kids picture every week or two to see the progress, Loved it so much I took my kids up there to do the same. (Thanks Shannon!)

Finished Frames

Keagan and Maddy's Room is getting a major overhaul. We painted, created wall art (the frames) and soon curtains will be made. And when that is ALL done, I will show you the finished room, so this is really just a smidget of what has been done :)
