Riley's 'readers theatre"

Riley has such a great first grade teacher. She puts on "readers theatres" every week and chooses kids from the class to act out parts. Riley has been in two, and it is fun for me as a mom to see him love to read as much as I do!

FHE gingerbread style!

Every year for one of our Family Home Evenings we decorate Gingerbread Houses. It's great fun and the kids eat at it all month long, gross, right? Sorry the pictures are all out of order, its hard to change them now with Blogger's new layout.

Riley's first tooth

Yup, it finally happened. Our little guy lost (we use that term loosely <---no pun intended lol). David actually helped yank out Riley's first tooth. I'd say Riley and I were both REALLY brave. One of us actually having the tooth yanked out and the other (I) watching the madness. Yay for Dads, especially ours who is going to be a dentist! At least he can say his first and second extractions were on his first and second children :)

12-12-12

Today on this crazy date, my little girl turned 4. I can't believe it was four years ago that sweet little dark haired, brown-eyed girl joined our family. So grateful for our little family, and for Maddy, Happy Birthday!!! (pictures will be posted soon.. promise!)

THE Birthday Party :)

Here is the crazy that followed the birthday of little miss Keagan. She invited 4 friends over to play: musical chairs and flash dance (never knew she could dance so well). We decorated Christmas trees and watched a movie and ate pizza. So glad she has these cute little friends to make memories with!

Elfonzo

This year we embarked on a journey (commitment, really) called, "Elf on a Shelf". It's a cute idea that this little elf goes back everynight and reports the behavior of your kids, sometimes husband (just kidding) to Santa Claus. There is a book that goes with this little guy, and so far, HE IS A HIT! Here are some of the places this kids have found Mr. Elfonzo (named by Keagan):
