Cayucos Beach Trip

Recently we took a fabulous trip to Cayucos to hang with our friends at house there a few steps from the sand. It was so fun! We cruised the beach, ate good food, the guys golfed, and we all played lots of games including SPOONS and Apples to Apples (two of my favorites!). It was actually a relief that the weather was cool because Fresno has gotten HOT lately. We all just have to keep planning these weekends, just to get away from the heat! Here are some pics of our weekend.

An all wood floor house with no vacuum and a notoriously hairy rug. We did what we had to

Also, last night my friend Ashley happened upon some tickets to the circus that's in town so we decided to make a girls night of it complete with Taco Bell dinner :) The show was so-so but experiencing it with Bruin was the best! That's why it's so fun to have kids is you get to re-experience childish things and enjoy them again through their eyes. My favorite parts were the elephant tricks and the show dog tricks. Its crazy what they can train a big ol' elephant to do! Bruin just watched with big eyes, pointing at stuff and babbling. At one part he was sitting in my lap, munching on puffs like they were popcorn and just watching it like a movie, it was so funny. Of course just after intermission he fell asleep and missed the lions but that's ok. Thank you Ashley for thinking of taking me, it was fun!

These are the only pics I got of the night and I'm aware that I have a wild/crazy look on my face as the barely english speaking lady took the pic without warning but oh well.

How Cute Is This?

Since I'm pretty sure my sis April won't be posting about her amazing talent in sewing, I just wanted to show the adorable blanket she made for our older sister Amy who just had a baby girl. How cute is this ladybug blanket??!

This is the same sister of mine that sews little boy ties and sells them online.

With one sister being an amazing seamstress/entrepreneur and another an amazing photographer it makes me start to try and think up something I'm good at and can make money doing from home..... hmmm nothing yet. But maybe someday I'd like to write books and who knows, I could hit it big couldn't I? Look out Stephanie Meyer!

Aunt Brittney

Aunt Brittney came to visit us this weekend and Bruin LOVED her, and so did we! She played with him, fed him, dressed him, changed diapers, gave baths and even held him all through church while he slept.... that's right, he slept TWO hours at church in her arms!! What?! That little monkey won't sleep in mine for longer than a half hour. Phil and I were almost giddy, feeling like we had an awesome nanny all weekend. Thank you Brittney! Bruin LOVES you and can't wait to see you again soon at Priest Lake!

End of May

June is here which means summer really has begun! This is what we were up to the end of May

Phil on a bike ride up the mountain with friends Rob and Dan

Lots of softball... City league and ward softball.

Free Sonic Rootbeer float night! We had a picnic and Bruin was content with his fists full of popcorn chicken

And a very tired Phil. (How he can fall asleep like this, I don't know)

Obsession

Just thought I'd share with you my current obsessions, incase you'd like to pick some new ones up :)

The Bloody Jack adventure book series

I cannot get enough of these books! Fortunately for me there are six books in the series so I get to enjoy them one after another. Unfortunate for Bruin he gets less of mom's attention :)

Bubble Breaker

This is the game on Phil's new cell phone. We are terribly competitive with each other. A few days ago I FINALLY beat his high score and I couldn't be happier! In Yo Face! For those of you who know the game, I got a bust of 812 on that game with a total score of 1030... genius

Aquaphor

Ever since I was on Accutane I have not gone a week without my Aquaphor. They can be found in convenient little tubes too that I can stick in my pocket like chapstick! Uses- Everything. I feel like the dad on My Big Fat Greek Wedding with the Windex. Chapped lips, cuts, rashes, sunburns, anything.

Slickdeals.net

It is what it says.... SLICK DEALS. Probably check it twice a day. Thanks Jeremy for this web treasure

Feeding your Baby: What and How Much

I often used to wonder how much food I was supposed to be feeding Bruin along with his bottles. Well my sis April sent me this link that has an AWESOME chart of what foods and how much of each you should be feeding your baby as they grow. Here is the link for those of you who would like to check it out:
