A Little Magic

Yesterday we went with some friends to spend the day riding crazy fast roller coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The weather was perfect and we had so much fun! Some were sick, some were overdrugged with Dramamine, but all in all it was a great day!
My favorite ride of the day was Tatsu (you ride on your stomach! and at one part on your back)

Phil's favorite rides were Goliath and Terminator Salvation

We didn't get to all of the rides that day so we will have to go again someday. Bruin had so much fun hanging out with his grandma and grandpa and was a perfect sleeping angel when we picked him up that night :) Thank you thank you Thank you Mom and Dad!

Theses are the only pics we got of the day and they were taken on camera phones. The second one is a picture of the snapshot you see when you get off of the ride. I have the same face in all of the pictures... A grimace if you will... Trying to hold down the throw up and keep from blacking out! The things we put ourselves through for a bit of fun!

Photo Shoot

When my sister was in town, she took some pics of Bruin for us and they turned out so cute! They were literally taken in a parking lot at last minute which proves how talented she is. Love you Kristen, thank you!
Here is a link to her blog site to view them

Berry Blissful

Its boysenberry time and I am in heaven! Today Bruin and I picked berries at Grandma Lundquist's house. He didn't know what to think of them... kind of too sweet I think. But as for me, I can't get enough of them. Thanks mom! Can't wait to put them on top of some ice cream!! mmmm

Poor Poor Girl

Ohhh Jillian... Even though you bug me I feel so sorry for you and this upcoming season. Either the casting committee has awful taste or the amount of men signing up to be on Bachelor is dwindling away. Perhaps all the normal men with real jobs, who aren't lifeguards or break dancers, are too busy working hard to save their companies and such during this economy crisis. Yes that must be it. Well however this sad bunch of gomers came together, this season of the Bachelor may possibly be the worst season yet, and has convinced me that any silly dreams of how cool it would be to be a Bachelorette are long gone. To have to pretend to like any of these guys for SIX WEEKS and put on a romantic show for ABC would be torture.
There is a small glimmer of hope in Sasha, Ed, and Kiptyn.

I would give the boot to these men for the following:

Mike- Greasy hair
Julian- shaped like a square and "Jillian&Julien" does NOT sound great
Tanner P- Foot fetish FREAK
Brad- "he's SENSITIVE" ew
Michael- break dancing is NOT attractive
Juan- still figuring you out... but seems like a drag
Dave- seems a little shady and immature
Jake- Pilots have a terrible reputation for cheating and would be gone all the time. You would however, have flight benefits and that is cause for consideration ;)

Jillian, good luck and good riddance.

The End is Near

Well my 30 hours of freedom are about to come to a close as my hubby and child are on their way home. I have shopped til I dropped, laid in bed until 8:15 this morning (this is sleeping in for me now), scrubbed my shower and kitchen as I sang and danced to my favorite tunes blaring off of iTunes, read an entire book while eating a Papa Murphys garlic chicken pizza, watched a movie, blog stalked, and just relaxed. Its been wonderful. Now I am looking forward to a fun week with my sister and her family visiting from Oklahoma. Woohoo! Thank you hunny for giving me this Mother's Day break!

Update- Lame Computer

Sooo our laptop stopped charging and has been dead for the past two weeks. This is why my internet life has been nearly non-existent. Occasionally Phil and I will stop by my parents' house and use theirs for a bit but I have not been able to blog and I'm going through withdrawals :)
Because I don't want to upload stuff to my mom's computer, this post will have no pictures in it. Sorry! But let me at least do an update, as I use this blog as a family journal.

What have we been up to the past few weeks? Phil is still playing softball on a city league team and working with the Scouts, and just recently got called to be the Elders Quorum Executive Secretary. He's been working off and on out of town and we've missed him a lot. One week he was to work in Watsonville all week long so Bruin and I decided to tag along. We just played all day and went on walks and got kind of bored, but at least we got to spend the evenings with Dad.
Me, I'm still playing piano for the Relief Society, having play dates, and reading plenty of books! I just can't get enough of reading, I am such a book worm- always have been! This weekend I am actually childless and husbandless, at least for another 24 hours. I packed up my baby and sent him away with grandma, who's picking up my sister at the San Jose Airport. Phil is already working down there and will take care of Bruin until tomorrow night. I thought this would be the PERFECT Mother's Day gift... Peace and quiet, sleeping in, long and bubbly baths, etc but I'm actually feeling really sad and miss him already! Lame huh? He's been gone like an hour and I've already shed a few tears. ENOUGH! I will enjoy blog stalking (on my mom's borrowed laptop), watching movies and catching up on shows on the DVR (Survivor, LOST, The Office, gotta love them), shopping around without a purpose or timeframe, and anything else my selfish self can think of! Then I will eagerly await my little family to come home.
Bruin is getting to be such a big boy these days. He is crawling like a mad man and is pulling himself up on everything. I filled the living room with things he could pull up on so he could practice; overturned laundry basket, tool box, beanbag, breadmaker, ottoman. Last week I went in to get him up from his nap and he was standing there bouncing up and down, so proud of himself. I have a pic of it and I'll post it later. He's got two little teeth and is a great eater.. I can't believe the things he can chew up with those gums and little teeth! I mean, big pieces of things and crackers like its nothing! He's learned to hold the cracker or hard thing at the front of his mouth and crush it up with his two teeth before smashing it around his mouth and swallowing. What a smart little guy, I am so proud :)
Well, I must not spend my precious time as a free-woman all in one place so I must move on to something else :) I hope to blog again soon because that probably means we bought a computer!
