Sooo our laptop stopped charging and has been dead for the past two weeks. This is why my internet life has been nearly non-existent. Occasionally Phil and I will stop by my parents' house and use theirs for a bit but I have not been able to blog and I'm going through withdrawals :)
Because I don't want to upload stuff to my mom's computer, this post will have no pictures in it. Sorry! But let me at least do an update, as I use this blog as a family journal.
What have we been up to the past few weeks? Phil is still playing softball on a city league team and working with the Scouts, and just recently got called to be the Elders Quorum Executive Secretary. He's been working off and on out of town and we've missed him a lot. One week he was to work in Watsonville all week long so Bruin and I decided to tag along. We just played all day and went on walks and got kind of bored, but at least we got to spend the evenings with Dad.
Me, I'm still playing piano for the Relief Society, having play dates, and reading plenty of books! I just can't get enough of reading, I am such a book worm- always have been! This weekend I am actually childless and husbandless, at least for another 24 hours. I packed up my baby and sent him away with grandma, who's picking up my sister at the San Jose Airport. Phil is already working down there and will take care of Bruin until tomorrow night. I thought this would be the PERFECT Mother's Day gift... Peace and quiet, sleeping in, long and bubbly baths, etc but I'm actually feeling really sad and miss him already! Lame huh? He's been gone like an hour and I've already shed a few tears. ENOUGH! I will enjoy blog stalking (on my mom's borrowed laptop), watching movies and catching up on shows on the DVR (Survivor, LOST, The Office, gotta love them), shopping around without a purpose or timeframe, and anything else my selfish self can think of! Then I will eagerly await my little family to come home.
Bruin is getting to be such a big boy these days. He is crawling like a mad man and is pulling himself up on everything. I filled the living room with things he could pull up on so he could practice; overturned laundry basket, tool box, beanbag, breadmaker, ottoman. Last week I went in to get him up from his nap and he was standing there bouncing up and down, so proud of himself. I have a pic of it and I'll post it later. He's got two little teeth and is a great eater.. I can't believe the things he can chew up with those gums and little teeth! I mean, big pieces of things and crackers like its nothing! He's learned to hold the cracker or hard thing at the front of his mouth and crush it up with his two teeth before smashing it around his mouth and swallowing. What a smart little guy, I am so proud :)
Well, I must not spend my precious time as a free-woman all in one place so I must move on to something else :) I hope to blog again soon because that probably means we bought a computer!
