P H I L

Phil has spent the last few Saturdays working on a project for the church, building a pavilion behind our stake center. I had to swing by and get something from him while he was working and I was able to snap some pics of him working on the roofing. I admire him so much for giving up his Saturdays and volunteering to do this!



Phil also got me some pretty roses on his way home from the bay area last week and I have been protecting them from Bruin's attacks every day since. I finally gave in and handed him one last night while I was trying to make cookies in the kitchen and he tore that thing apart, loving every minute!

This weekend we got the special treat of a visit from Phil's sister Britney and her boyfriend Hayzen. Saturday we drove up to see the huge trees in the Sequoia National Park.






Bruin LOVED his Aunt Britney and it was so fun to spend V-Day with her and Hayzen. We hope its not long til they visit again!

I made a separate private blog for Bruin's pics and stories (so this blog didn't become too baby blogish) but I just wanted to post these cuz I thought they were funny. Phil and I stuck a heart on his forehead and he couldn't get it off. haha






Then yesterday, I FINALLY GOT TO SEE TWILIGHT!!! It just showed up in the cheap theaters so Phil agreed to come with me to see it while my parents babysat and I LOVED it!! I was seriously grinning the whole time I was watching. Sure, there were a couple cheesy parts but who cares, it was TWILIGHT on the big screen!! I loved who they picked for all the characters except Jacob and Rosalie. And what the heck was up with Jasper? What a freak! Definitely not what I imagined. I just can't wait until the next one because they'll have so much more money in the budget that it will be awesome I just know it. Jacob better get cuter though. Anyways, I think it was well worth the wait. Thanks hunny for seeing it with me :)

PJs and Leather

My internal temperature is about 10 degrees lower than Phil's. I literally shiver in bed while he is sweating. So when we go to bed at night I bundle up... in Phil's hideous long sleeve t-shirts. I like them cuz they're baggy and comfy. One night I was getting ready for bed and looked at myself in the mirror and thought, Oh sick, I look like such a drab... Poor Phil! So I decided to take a trip to the wonderful world of Target and see what I could find for a warm set of PJs that matched. Of course I started in the Clearance section and for $4.98 I walked away with a nice warm pair of Christmas pajamas! Woohoo! So now every night I get in my bright red, snowflake pajamas and feel warm and not as hideous. AND they button up the front which is so convenient for pumping and nursing. Yay for Target Clearance!



I also recently found a new use for my black bean bag chair that's been sitting in the corner of Bruin's room. Its perfect for him to sit in cuz I can mold it around him and give him toys and they won't roll away when they fall from his hands. AND it easily wipes down when he spits up on it--which convinces me our next couch purchase in the future will be LEATHER!

Weekend

It was a fun weekend. BBQ with friends on Friday night, playing Blokus with Mom and Dad on Saturday night, and of course a SuperBowl party on Sunday. Lots of good food and friends.. what life is all about ;)
