Hobbies?

The other night my new Relief Society President stopped by to share the visiting teaching message and get to know me. As we were chatting the question I always dread popped up... "So what are your hobbies Holly?" Oooo how I hate that question! It always makes me feel like I'm so lame. Let's see.. I like to read, cook, travel?? I don't know! Maybe if I was an avid rock climber or a long distance cycler or something I wouldn't mind the question. As I talked to my mom about this later that night we both decided we needed to discover some new hobbies and be more interesting people. So I ask the question to anyone reading this, what are YOUR hobbies? Please give me some ideas!

Update in Fresno

Sorry its been awhile since my last post. We've been soo busy getting all settled in here. Right now we are in the process of moving into our apartment and it is a disaster! I just spent hours sorting through boxes and trying to make it all fit in the limited space. Luckily a garage comes with the place so we have a place to put all the empty boxes and tubs of random stuff.

Last week we went to Washington for Fourth of July and then to Priest Lake for the week. We went to the Basin City parade and got lots of candy from the floats! Phil of course brought a tank of water to spray at the floats (and got quite wet himself). Then we went to Moses Lake with Royce and AubRee Barney to watch their family's firework show. It was funny because most of their family had little kids so more than half of them ended up inside the house away from the "scary" fireworks :)

On Sunday night we left to Priest Lake with Phil's family and friends and had a great time at their cabin! I was pretty limited at what I could do there so I pretty much watched everyone else tube and read a little. Phil though was out and about on the lake at all times and came back with all kinds of aches and bruises and swollen body parts from the aggressive tube wrestling going on. One night they even went glow-in-the-dark tubing where they zip-tied glowsticks to their life jackets so you could see them in the water. It looked awesome! Phil's brother Tyler and I played Search-and-Rescue in another boat as we rode around picking up those that fell off. It was a lot of fun and I hope to not be pregnant next summer so I can do it too! (I've realized over the course of this pregnancy that I chose a terrible time to be pregnant... Summer's are just no fun!) Here are some pics of Priest Lake.

Some of the tough night tubers

Phil and his sister Brittney with their glow sticks. Orange Team against the Green Team - try to stay on!

Barneys came to Priest Lake and spent two days with us. We were so glad they came!

Phil golfing with Royce. They said it was so beautiful and they even saw deer on the course!

So that's what we've been up to! I will post pics of our new apartment once I get everything put away and its not covered in boxes.
Oh ya! I had my first doctor's appointment on Monday and it went great. Coincidentally someone recommended this doctor and my mom recognized him as the same doctor who delivered all of her babies! So the doctor who delivered me will be delivering my baby... cool huh! Anyways, at the appointment they found that I am 1cm dilated and 50% effaced so I have a good little start going. I'm hoping this means I will not be going over my due date of August 11th! I will post a pic soon of my huge belly.

Bye Bye Rexburg. Hello Swelling

We ended up having to rent a 16' Budget truck and tow our car on a trailer. Moving is NOT cheap! We were spending so much on gas that our credit card company froze our card and called to make sure it hadn't been stolen (which we were grateful for!). We split the drive into two days, stopping in Las Vegas at 3am and staying overnight with some family friends. I was shocked when I looked down at my feet and saw two big marshmellow feet below me. They were totally swollen from the drive! I tried running cold water on them in the tub and elevating them that night. The next morning I got an amazing foot massage from our friend's sister who I just barely met! How sweet! I gave her the biggest hug when we left and tried to keep my feet elevated the rest of the 7 hour drive from Vegas to Fresno. Then when we finally arrived I filled a bucket full of ice water and soaked. My poor feet. I have to sleep with them elevated now every night :( Oh well.. only six more weeks!!

Rexburg Temple

On our last day we took a picture by the Rexburg temple.

Dentist

While we were in Rexburg we decided to get our dental work done because Phil's full-coverage dental insurance from work ended on the 30th. He had two cavities and I had.... NINE. Bummer! I guess that's what happens when you don't go to the dentist for 4 years. Anyways, it was a painful and uncomfortable day but we were glad to get it done. Phil even got the chip in his front tooth filled and it looks great!

Last Week

Our last week in Rexburg was sad but busy and fun. We spent most of our time packing and running errands, but we were also able to hang out with friends and family and say goodbye. Monday night we had FHE with Phil's siblings at the park. Jessica was up visiting so we all got together and BBQd and had a lot of fun. We even got to chase down some naughty college students who threw a water balloon at us from their pick up and we hunted them down and splashed the rest of our punch and soda all over them :)
