Moving Day {UGH}

Can I just say, moving has to be the suckiest thing ever! And moving without help from family is a totally different experience! Our original plan was to pack up the moving van, drive to Alpine, Utah to stay with Phil's family Saturday night and get up to Logan early on Sunday morning and paint, paint, paint (yes and break the Sabbath). Well since we didn't have much help (thank you to the missionaries and our 2 friends) we were running a little later than anticipated! So around 2:00 I called a lady in my ward and she said she'd hurry on over to help clean. She brought her daughter and her friend. When I saw her with a huge smile on her face I nearly burst into tears. And she kept saying thank you for calling me, this is so fun (I'm like you LIER)! Needless to say even with the help we got, we didn't pull out until 3:00 pm on Sunday. No matter how organized I was and had thoroughly planned it all out...I guess I wasn't prepared!

So then my oh so awesome husband thought of the coolest idea for our moving cards (yes I've been fretting about moving cards and designing them). All I can say is these 2 pictures will be included on the front of the card in black and white!

Saying Goodbye

So as most of you know, today was my last day of work! I said goodbye to the coolest job, and the greatest of friends. Goodbye to HUB International (and their amazing benefits)! And to all my friends, I wish you the best! Thank you for this past year! I've loved every minute of it!

7 Random Things

So my awesome cousin Megan tagged me and now ya'll get to hear 7 more random things about me! As you can tell I'm getting desperate trying to come up with new ones! Oh and since I'm on my lunch hour (2 days left of work!) no pictures folks.

1. If we ever go to Wendy's, I like to get a small fry and small chocolate frosty and dip my fries into the frosty! Sick you might say?! Try it! I learned this oh so cool trick from my aunty Shawna! I hooked one of my best friends Erika even!

2. I absolutely 100% hate chicken. I eat it about 2 times a week, but I'm so not a fan! I'm picky about the fat and how it's cooked. I think it's just dry. I love Costco rotisserie chicken though! I use that in fajitas, or in homemade chicken noodle soup.

3. I'm pretty sure that other than my husband, DVR/TIVO rocks my world! We've had it for about 4 years now and I can't remember life without it! Plus I can record silly shows like My Super Sweet 16 without feeling embarrassed because I can watch them in the privacy of my craft room while I'm working on my never ending projects!

4. I LOVE to read! In 4th grade I had this rad teacher Mrs. Four and she totally taught me how to pick out books that I liked. My cool friend Kellie Shill let me borrow one of her R.L. Stine books and I was smitten! I think I read every single one! Then in high school I always stole my aunt Sherlene's stash of LDS novels (go Anita Stansfield and Rachel Ann Nunes). I still stick to LDS books because I know there won't be garbage in them...but after a few recommendations here and there I've branched out!

5. My favorite thing to do on Sunday evenings is play games with other couples. We're going to miss our friends Heidi and Brandon tremendously! They were always there for us when we had a code 23 (Dr. Pepper emergency)! We pulled late nighters with them all the time!

6. If my mom marries Tim, then between Phillip and I we will have 32 siblings ranging in age from 44 to 3! We already have 24 nieces and nephews! That's why I only send b-day cards! Haha!

7. This month my doctor tripled my fertility, so keep your fingers and toes crossed for us that we'll get pregnant! A few prayers would be all right too!

The Longest Commute Ever

So today I got on the freeway at 5:00 and I walked in my door at 8:02! Yep, I had a lovely 3 hour commute this evening. To make matters worse I was alone, without my cell phone, and bored out of my mind! No joke I cleaned my purse, alphabetized our cd's, and talked with all the people that were parked around me. There were a few mud slides that were absolutely horrible! There was mud, logs, and rocks for at least a mile down the road. I've never seen anything like it! I found one picture online, but it was one of the little ones and it holds no comparison to the big one.

So I-70 became a parking lot for 3 hours, and it was a long 3 hours at that! What, why didn't I take the back roads?! Let me just tell you there's only one other option to get home, and that's Highway 6. But guess what, they had their own mud slide (that's what the picture above is from). Anyways! I'm home, and I'm tired!

Surprise Visit

Well, it wasn't really a suprise because they called us on Thursday, but my cousin Dakin and her family stopped by on their way back to Utah after a weekend getaway. It was so fun to see them, even if it was for an hour! Love their cute little boys! Since I've planned out all my meals for Phillip and I until we move, I didn't really have anything for Sunday dinner. Last night as I was finishing the last of the strawberry jam I had 2 containers left of fresh strawberries and decided we could have waffles! So we had waffles and smothered them in strawberries and cool whip! Thanks for stopping by Stovall's! We love you guys! See you again soon!

Garage Sale & Strawberry Jam

So we did awesome at our garage sale this morning! We did a combined family moving sale and made a little over $600 all together! Yeah for us! Of course a nap was manditory afterwards! Then we went down to Glenwood Springs to return some stuff to Targer, Walmart, and Lowes. When we got home my amazing husband helped me make a bunch of strawberry freezer jam! I found these really cool new freezer containers that stack because lets face it, it totally sucks having to store the glass jars! These you can stack and they take up hardly any room!
I can't wait until we get moved and settled in so I can make homemade rolls so we can try the jam! All in all, today was quite a productive day!

Introducing...

The new Mr. & Mrs. Eric Fletcher. That's right, my dad got married this weekend! We flew down to the sweltering heat of Arizona to be there. Congratulations Dad and Stacey! We love you and wish you the best!

Happy 4th!!!

I was totally stoked that my awesome boss let us go home at 1:00 yesterday because I wanted to get some MAJOR cleaning done before they show our house tomorrow morning. So I got home and immediately started packing up my craft room. Oh my heck. I was in there from 2-7 and I swear it doesn't look any better, ugh! At 7:30 we met up with Phil's bosses family and we went up to the fireworks in Avon. It was a blast! We had the most amazing view. Of course here they don't start until almost 10:00 pm. They lasted a few minutes shy of 30 minutes and they were synchronized to music. Cool, cool! Then I had to get up at 6:30 am to take Phillip to the freeway because he worked today. Again, I spent the day gutting the house and packing box after box. At 7:00 we went with the same family and a few others to our towns fireworks. We cooked hot dogs on the back of the truck and enjoyed the nice weather. Again the fireworks started at 10:00 and lasted 30 minutes! Loved it! Two nights of fireworks, we're so lucky! Happy 4th to everyone!

Annoyed!!!

So when our Stratus hit 100,000 we drove around for like 15 minutes so we could take a picture! Fast forward a few years to our Santa Fe. Everyday we put a minimum of 60 miles on it (to and from work). So naturally when I saw that the odometer was quickly approaching this momentus occasion I carried the camera in my purse. Well I was sick for a few days and had Phillip run errands for me, then I completely spaced it. Until this morning when I started the car and saw this:
I was so annoyed! Ugh! Phillip said he remembered it was getting close to 100,000, but soon after forgot. I don't know why it was such a big deal. I'm over it!

Stomach Flu

So we watched our friends kids for them on Saturday night and their daughter Grace (who just turned 1 and is a doll) was sick. I thought nothing of it (duh). So Sunday we noticed their family wasn't there and we called them to see if everything was okay. Come to find out mommy and daddy got the bug. I said we were okay, but not an hour later I was running to the bathroom! Ugh, I got the stomach flu...and it's a bad one! This is day 2 and I still feel terrible! Pepto-Bismol is my new drink of choice!
