Saturday!

So after staying in our jammies most of the day, watching 2 sessions of conference, and scrapbooking we were totally cooped up and decided to be crazy. What's there to do in a small town you might ask?! Well we made our own fun! First we thought we'd go toilet papering, but decided it was more fun to just play with the rolls!

After debating we decided to go purse snatching and to take walkie talkies and mess with people that were ordering at Wendy's. So off we went (of course Phillip was in tow to protect us)!

Well the Wendy's thing was funny, we just couldn't hear the people's responses, but Molly was a riot! When the people pulled up she was like "are you sure you want to order that?! maybe you should get a salad". We gave up after a little while and decided to do the purse snatching. Sarah donated a little bag and we made it into a purse.

We had a few bites and as they got out of their car we yanked it and they were like what?! It was fun! Once again, we pulled a late nighter talking and scrapbooking!

Friday!

We woke up and had a way yummy breakfast, but were all so excited to go to the hot springs! We had a blast and of course we had to stop at a rest stop to take pictures! Here's a few from the day!

So now I have a fun little story to tell about this darling picture of Sarah "fixing" the car!

Here we are going 80 mph down I-70 chatting up a storm when all of a sudden I scream Sarah, that's our exit. Now you have to understand, the next exit isn't for 7 more miles. So I'm like there's a turn around thing right up there. So we use the turn around just as we see a big sign that says for emergency vehicles only. Ahh, we'll be fine. So we are turning off the freeway when the girls in the back start freaking out because there's a cop that had flipped around and was following us with his lights on. What's the logical thing to do?! Out run the cop of course! We make a sharp right, then left, then Sarah pops the hood and goes to the front of the van so it looks like something is wrong. (in all honesty the car was making funny noises). So the scrapbooker in me says hmmm, lets take a picture!!! After our run in with the law we hurry home to get in our matching pajamas just in time for my birthday party. Here are some silly pictures from throughout the night!

They finally arrived!!!

Okay, so after months of planning...the day is finally here. I got worried when Sarah hadn't called me and it was like 5:30. Well she decided with the girls to play a nasty joke and say that the rental car place gave their van away. Lets just say Sarah and I have been friends WAY too long for me to not to suspect something. So I went along my night as planned and started dinner. Then I get a phone call from Tina asking how far away Vail is from my house. I laugh because I know she's gonna say because we're that far away. I was right!!! And that's how our scrapbook weekend began!!! Too fun! We were so excited to see each other! I think we were all talking a million miles per minute! We had soup, homemade rolls, and hot chocolate! Then we made the beds and talked until 2 or 3 in the morning! Silly girls! Here are the pictures from the girls on the plane. Beth and Tina are together, then Molly and Sarah.

New Glasses

So, I realized I never posted a picture of my new glasses that I've had for about...mmmm a month! So I'm getting ready for bed and checking my email and see the camera. So I just snapped this picture. No make-up either, ugh! Oh and yes the carmel (reddish) hair is my new style! LOVE it!

Pictures of our house!

So I finally got around to taking pictures of the inside of our house. The first picture is of the entry way. That is our front door. Notice the cute bench my mom got me for my birthday (the shelf with hooks on it that matches is back ordered).
The next picture is a close up of the bench.

Then there is a picture of our kitchen which is to the right when you are coming in from the front door.

Next picture is more of the kitchen.

And then of course the next picture is of my awesome new distressed pub table (LOVE it)! We're still waiting on 2 more chairs!

Now onto the family room.

Check out the new black distressed entertainment center! We have to special order the two bookends that go on the sides though.

And that's our downstairs in a nutshell! The upstairs, well that's a different story. The craft room has been a huge undertaking, so maybe next month I will have pictures!

Phillip's Birthday

Phillip turned 29 today! It was a low key birthday. We had a bunch of friends come over for pazookies (half baked cookie dough and ice cream). It was fun. Here's a few pictures from the little get together.

More Snow!

So I just want to share with you a picture my boss took this morning outside our office. We got dumped on last night! It is cold and gorgeous!

Snow!

On Sunday as we drove back from Denver it was snowing at the Vail pass. We saw snow capped mountains and thought oh how nice, it won't stay and it certainly won't be like this at our house. Fast forward a few days and this is what we woke up to!!!
Yep, this is me this morning on my commute! It was COLD! Can you say 32 degrees (I can, but through chattering teeth!)!? I love it! This other picture is my view from my work. This is Avon, looking up at Beaver Creek (a ski resort), but you can't really see it because of the snow and clouds!!! Haha! Oh sure you can see the pretty leaves that have been changing the last few weeks, but you can't even see half the mountain!

The reports say that some of the ski resorts got a foot of snow! Sweet! I am cozy in my jammies, with some hot chocolate, and I'm about to go turn on a movie by the warm fire place! (Are you Arizonans jealous yet?!)

I'm A Handywoman

So, we are madly trying to finish my craft room after realizing we only have a few weeks before the girls come. I decided to step it up and start sanding all the cabinetry! It was actually fun! We've enjoyed doing this project together. So, here's a lovely picture of me being a "handywoman"! Don't laugh!
