I'm alive

Don't fear. We are alive and (semi) well. Since my last post we enjoyed a little visit from my sweet in-laws, (I) got a little depressed about living in Sun Valley when I wanted to be home, my husband suggested we drive home for thanksgiving, we took a 14 hour road trip with 3 little ones, surprised our families, loved bring home, came back to SV and the kids have been sick ever since!
There's life in a nutshell. I have a few thoughts but blogger is out if storage so I'm going to be looking into Wordpress. Wish me luck!

58 Sunburst Lane

We came as 4, left as 5.
Met our sweet Sawyer girl.
Watched our kids turn 2 and 5.
Swam. A lot.
Watched my kids play outside.
Experienced my first ever kid barf.
Spent countless hours playing Legos.
Loved the king sized plush bed.
Enjoyed the best summer of my life.
Rolled down grassy hills.
Ate on the deck every warm evening.
Caught 1 mouse.
Saw 1 skunk.
Watched the snow fall.
Shed a few tears.
Hated the creaky floors.

Goodbye.

movin

We are chugging along. After a full day of packing on Sunday we took a little break and went to Lefty's... Our go-to cheapish dinner. Fabulous cheap beer. Great monkey fries.

Here's a picture of the view at our new place. That's the main ski mountain, Baldy. "They" say it's one of the best places in the world to ski. We will be here until February. Come on over!

halloween

We had a fabulous Halloween. I made a spooky dinner - "mummy hot dogs", then we did a little trick or treating and ended our evening with friends at the church party. The weather was perfect. It went from cold, icy and snowy to warm, sunny and mild just in time. Love it. The kids were in bed by 8:30, we ate a little bit of their candy and that was that!

I missed the boat with Maggie's costume this year. She ended up with the same costume as last year but she was still super cute. Sawyer just watched all bundled up in the stroller. Case loved running around being Mario.

We've been busy getting ready to move this weekend. Sorting our stuff, their stuff, washing bedding, organizing, cleaning, etc... Fun times people. Fun times. Imagine me saying that in my most sarcastic voice. Because I am.

sawyer

I can't even describe to you what a gift she is and how blessed I feel to be her mama.
She is pure sweetness.
She smiles first thing in the morning, sleeps wonderfully, barely cries, doesn't like to be alone, likes to know what is going on and is the perfect completion to our family.

gentle

"Remind the people... always to be gentle toward everyone."
(snippets from Titus 3:1-2)

I loved reading this the other morning. It was one of those "convicting in a good way" moments. I feel so led to work on my gentleness with my children. In how I speak to them, how I touch them, how I interact with them...

Perfect timing too... because Case is sick with a high fever aaaand it's been snowing. A lot. I haven't left my house since Sunday. I am inside with 3 kids under 5. And ya know what? I kinda love it. I know it's a fleeting moment with my little ones. So we are making the best of it with crafts, cooking, picnics, baths, cartoons (duh), watching the snow fall and lots of snuggles.

I could just kiss their little faces off.

Even if they are throwing a little fit. <cough...Maggie...cough>

five.

What do you get when you mix Mario Kart, mustaches, gold chocolate coins, pizza, a treasure hunt and "pin the mustache on Mario"? Case's 5th birthday party - Mario style. It was awesome.

I am so thankful for this boy. My hands are full most of the day taking care of his sisters and he is such a great helper. When we go out and about he opens doors for us, holds little hands that need some help and totally takes care of himself. He's growing up a bit too fast for my liking. I'm actually kind of glad we aren't putting him in kindergarten until next year so I can have a little more time with him. I'm a little sad that he's growing up so fast.

I love his dimple in this picture. I remember it when he was an itty baby.

He still loves to snuggle, likes to match Maggie's pajamas at night, plays so well with his sister, loves to laugh, play lego's, color, draw, watch cartoons, play Mario Kart, dress up as various warriors, wrestle, never complains about sharing a room with his crazy-loud-yelling-sister.... I could go on and on.

I LOVE YOU CASE.
