Getting Ready for June

June is only a few days away and it holds so much excitement for everyone: school is ending (which is exciting for Austin and I- Yeah summer holidays!!), the weather is slowly improving, the June stamp of the month blog hop is just around the corner and June deal a day!!
What is the blog hop?? On June 1st I will be linking my blog with 44 other CTMH consultants to offer you a chance to see all of the great things that you can do with the June Stamp of the Month: Tender Tags! Be sure to visit me that day to see more of this cute card which I created with that set and our Life Delights Paper.
What is June Deal a Day?? An even better question- every day during the month of June I will have a different CTMH deal on my website. Sometimes the deals will require the purchase on one stamp set in order to get something special at a deep discount and sometimes you will be able to purchase special goody boxes. Each day has a completely different deal and when you purchase one of these deals you will even get a special shipping deal!! It could not get better- be sure to check my website every day to make sure that you are not missing out!!

So into the cards lately!

This card is not one that I created lately but it is a great of example of what you can do with leftover stuff that you are having a hard time putting together. I created this card during the spring catalogue warm-up (the time consultants have before the catalogue is available to our customers). I had some leftover Emporium paper and a few accessories and one sticker (the one with the laughter quote). I found a super-cute pattern in Originals and put it all together. The background paper is stamped with some of the stamps from the April stamp of the month.

Playing with Colour

Okay so last week I decided I wanted to play with colour like they do in the Idea Book- I love all the artwork that takes different patterns of B&T from different kits and mixes it together in colour combinations that work. I was inspired!!
I put together a combination using Indian Corn Blue, Tulip, Sorbet, Buttercup and Garden Green and I LOVE how it turned out!
The B&T is from the Moon Doggie paper pack and the large paper flowers are from our Fancy Cut Botanicals with Heartfelt Die Cut flowers added in. Really sweet!!
If you have some great colour combinations that you would like to share on my blog just snap a pic and email me at braemontgomery@myctmh.com- then I will post it!!

May Stamp of the Month- Transparency card

I know it is hard to tell here but this card is just so darn cute!! I used an overhead transparency and rub ons on the front of the card- the inside paper is from the Daydream Paper Pack and then I used the stamp from the Stamp of the Month for May- added some prisma glitter to her dress and it all turned out very chic!!

Heartfelt Card

I had so much fun this weekend playing with the new Heartfelt die cuts- they are sooooo cute!! Here is one of my favourite cards using the Buttercup felt butterfly and the holes from the buttons on the felt to make his flight path. The paper is a mix of Animal Cookies and Moon Doggie. I also used one of the scalloped edges from one of our Dimensional Elements sets.

My Entry for Scrapbook and Share Contest

This is the layout I sent in this evening and below is the email journaling that accompanied it:

This layout is one that I just completed this weekend. It is of my son, Austin's, first Ball Hockey Game. Our town recently had to close the ice rink. Austin had been upset as he badly wanted to learn how to skate well so that he could play hockey the following year. When the ice rink closed, the town had to cancel all the public and school skating days in order to allow all of the other programs to continue- this meant no practice for Austin. Austin was crushed, but this did not last long- when we were in the mall one day we noticed that the local Ball Hockey organization was opening up a league for 4-6 year olds. This was the answer- Austin was ecstatic- he could play hockey and not have to worry about the skating part!! His first game finally came around and Austin jumped out of the car and eagerly went to get on all his new gear so that he could play- we knew all the pads and safety equipment would be new for him but we never imagined his great discomfort over certain pieces of 'protective' equipment. He played through it though and had such a big smile on his face when it was all over. He still loves going to his hockey games and is now very used to his gear!!

The location was gorgeous, the weather was perfect (okay but not so nice we wanted to be out enjoying it!) and we got lots of scrapbooking completed!
