Isaac had meetings in Tacoma this past weekend where he presented and spoke during a round table discussion. While he was on the airplane home the kids and I spent our FHE night at the dentist. Lol! KW (I’m mean Kendyn) thinks the dentist’s office is the best thing in the world. It is the only place where you get to lie in a chair and watch TV while they clean your teeth. The crazy kid even likes the shots that numb his mouth (because it feels funny). Well, I’m glad he likes it so much. Unlike Kayden who hates it. He learned a great trick at the orthodotits that helped his gagging. They put salt on the back of his tongue. It did wonders and now he doesn’t mind the dentist. Kaycee used to love it and now is anxious about everything. She does love getting her teeth perfectly clean! It takes so much longer when they all go at the same time but it is better than making three separate trips. I’ve been sick so it made it nice to just get it over with.
When they were checking the kids in they called Kayden and KW and he corrected them like he has been since the start of school, “it is Kendyn”.  In asking why he suddenly wants Kendyn instead of KW he said, “because it is harder to spell and everyone knows me as KW.”  When he was in kindergarten he wanted to be different, plus Kw was easy to spell but now that he is reading he wants harder things to spell. Good for him!!! I can see a pattern though. I’m sure next year it is going to be KW again or maybe William (his middle name) just to be different and to learn how to spell it.

Mr President

This amazing man has worked so hard and accomplished huge feats in the short time he has been out of school. This past week he accomplished a big dream of his, to be President of the Society for Theriogenology. Along with organizing the huge conference he presented two lectures. He amazes me. I'm so proud that I get to call him mine! I'm so proud of him and his accomplishments. I love to see him succeed because I love watching the joy that it brings him and to watch the twinkle in his eye sparkle when he does. It was funny to hear people talk about how he loves the spotlight, if they only knew how hard he has to work to put himself out there he would amaze them even more. He is so shy and it is even more impressive how much he accomplishes with this barrier that he hops over with each feat.
