What have we learned...
What have we learned from spring training so far.
- David Ortiz is off to a hot start. 5 for 13, HR, and yes a stolen base.
- Carl Crawford has two hits in 12 at bats.
- Youkilis and Pedroia are tied for the slowest start among the regulars. Combined they have two hits in 19 at bats.

Pedroia Jumps Into the Stands

Dustin Pedroia leaves the game, puts on street clothes, and buys three hot dogs from the concession vendors in the stands as the game continues. Best part is that no one noticed him. A great piece of intrepid reporting by Gordon Edes.

In the land of free speech and the land where a man raced against a steam powered hammer and won you would think talking about revenue sharing would not be cause for a $500,000 fine. You would be wrong. In 2009 when discussing a billion revenue shared dollars going towards uncompetitive teams Henry said
Who except these teams, can think this is a good idea?”--John Henry
No word if the $500,000 fine went to the chronically uncompetitive teams.
