My baby, my youngest, my little guy turned three today. I now have a 3 and 5-year-old. Before I know it, I'm going to be saying a 13 and 15-year-old! My tiny (sort of) 8 lb. 13 oz. second born is now 33.6 pounds (50-75 percentile) and 39.5 inches (80-90 percentile). They aren't kidding when they say it goes fast!
This kid. Man, I just love him! He's loud and crazy. He is all boy yet most of his friends are girls. He loves to laugh, can't help himself when music is on--he has to move, and runs almost everywhere he goes. He has been flying down the hill on his scooter since he was 2 and continues to get crazier…ahem, braver…on that thing every time he rides it. We were convinced he was going to be tricky to potty train. I just imagined him cracking up after pooping his pants. On January 2nd we took the plunge and after three days, he was good to go (he has never wet his bed either--we go straight to undies all the time and don't look back)!
He has been in a "Mommy stage" for a while, but it is getting a bit better. He is a stubborn fella and very independent. "Mommy, don't worry, I can do it!" He calls lunch "munch." We have a trail near our house that we refer to as "the woods," if he wants to go there he'll say, "Let's go to the hood" (likewise, Woody from Toy Story is "Hoody"). He has a huge heart and his smile lights up the room. Camden was upset in his room the other day, Parker knocks on his door and says, "Camden, what's wrong? C'mon, bud! You're my best buddy!" He sure loves his big bro! The past month or so he likes to randomly say, "Jesus is in our heart. Right, Mommy?!" He thinks it's hilarious when he calls me "Mom" and likes to make up jokes and stories…he has quite the imagination!
This boy loves sports! He just started a "Sports Sampler" class at the community center and he's soaking up every minute. He can often be found in the panty, a big fan of snacks and sweets like his mama.
Parker Reid,
Happy 3rd birthday, sweet boy! I am so thankful to be your Mommy! You are a huge blessing. I'm so proud of the little man you are becoming. You make me laugh every day. You complete our family perfectly. You are such a gift. Thank you for your random hugs and kisses, your smiles just because, and the way you love life. I love you beyond words!
xoxo
