Jackson is 1!

Jackson turned one year old! I can't believe it. He is growing up so fast. He is now walking everywhere and getting into everything (as evidenced by the pictures below). He has two teeth on bottom and four on top. He loves to play peek a boo and finally learned to clap. He loves his big brother and plays with him all the time. I love to hear them laughing and playing from the other room! He is VERY inquisitive, just like his Daddy, and he has begun throwing tantrums when he doesn't get his way. . . He also has taken to liking sweets. Anything we are eating, he wants some of it too. It has been so much fun watching him grow this year. Below is a slideshow of his first year. Birthday pics are posted below. Enjoy!

Austin's Birthday Party

Below are pics from Austin's and Jackson's Birthday parties. It was a CRAZY day! Their birthdays are only 8 days away from each other and we were having trouble figuring out when to have each one. . . so we had them on the same day! Just different times. But they had a great time. Austin had a football party and Jackson had a monkey party. My incredibly talented friend, Tarah, made all the cakes and cupcakes you see below. She did an AWESOME job! Thanks again Tarah.

Austin in his football gear - ready to go!

Cowboys cake and cupcake below - made by Tarah Scott - AWESOME!

Football cupakes - they look like real footballs!!

Austin blowing out his candles.

Craziness at the gym!

I think everyone had a good time though!

Nothin like stuffin footballs down your shirt and chasing each other around!

Jackson's Birthday Party

Monkey cake - made by Tarah Scott - So CUTE!

Monkey cupcakes made by Tarah - I love these little monkeys. They are adorable!

Jackson was so cute during the Happy Birthday song. He kept clapping and laughing at everyone and looking around and clapping again. I need to get the video from the inlaws so I can post it on here!

So I thought he would really "smash" into his smash cake. But this is all he did. Oh, well.

9 Months Old

I will be 9 months old on Tuesday and my mom and dad can't believe it! I am crawling all over the place now. I follow everyone all around the house and LOVE to get into things I'm not supposed to! My favorite things are pulling on the door stops and putting the white caps in my mouth and pulling on any cord and electrical socket I can get my hands on. I can also pull up on my knees now and can see out of my crib when mommy and daddy come get me out of bed. (aka when I am screaming to get out of bed. . . :) I have 2 teeth now on the bottom and am waiting for my top ones to come in. I don't think it will be long. And also, I have found that I don't like to be in a room by myself. . . and definitely do not like Jasmine's loud barking when someone comes to visit us.
Below are some pictures my mommy took of me. I think I look pretty cute!

Carter & Averi

I love taking pictures!! Below are some fun ones I took of Carter and Averi. I love playing around with all the effects. . . AND I've learned so much in photo editing thanks to my talented and incredibly smart husband!! He actually edited the second one himself!

Funny Friday

Here's how the conversation goes yesterday. . .

Austin - "I shared a pillow with Evy today during nap time."

Daddy - "Austin, let me ask you a question. Do you think Evy's pretty?"

Austin - "Yeah! That's why I shared a pillow with her."

Florida!

This summer, we got to take a family vacation to Florida! We rented a 12 passenger van and went with Ricky's mom and dad to a family reunion in Melbourne. We left on a Monday morning and then 23 hours (broken up into 2 days). . . we were there! The kids did really great. It was a much easier trip in the car than I thought it would be. . . although next time we go to Florida, I think we'll fly. :)
We did the family reunion thing, went to the beach, Kennedy Space Center, saw a movie at the IMAX, rode on an airboat, went to the beach some more and saw a lot of great countryside along the way. We had a great time. Below are some pics we took of the family on the beach and then a slideshow of all the fun things we got to do.
