LID:: June 2015 Release:: Day 1

It's the first day of the Lil' Inker Designs June Release and I'm positive you will love it! As usual, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring innovative stamps and dies! You should have arrived from Chrissy Larson's Blog!

I have two projects to show you today! We have some amazing baby related projects this release, and my first project showcases two items in a non-baby way. I die cut the custom background with the Cover Up Die: Alphabet and then stamped a mix of sentiments from the Stork Stuff Release for a cute and simple hello card.

My next card features some of the baby products in their intended manner.

I started by adhering a custom made solid panel with the new Embossed Dots Rectangle Dies. I then added a die cut stork and cute baby bag from the Stork Stuff dies and then the sentiment is die cut from the lovely Baby Word Die.

Lil' Inker Designs has also released a really cool product (available in silver and gold) called Scratch Off Stickers that would work awesome for baby reveal cards!

May Arts:: Flower Inspiration

Did you hear that May Arts Ribbon is offering a Flower Inspiration Challenge??!! These kinds of challenges are so much fun, please stop over on the blog to check out all the details! I've got two inspiration samples to share today.

I absolutely adore that May Arts offers many different colors of raffia along with the traditional natural color. I chose to create some really fun and quirky "Horton Hears a Who" inspired flowers using two shades of the raffia and a simple twig stem.

The flowers were super easy to make: I wound some raffia over a fork, then tied it together in the middle and cut both ends, fluffing to make a pom pom. I hot glued two poms together and then the flower top onto a twig stem.

The second  project is a big, bold and beautiful flower pin using white raffia. This flower was made by wrapping/looping the ribbon, securing in the middle, but not cutting the edges. I hid the middle by
affixing a button with hot glue to the center.

I then glued a pin back to the back of the flower! So easy!
