My dad gave me one dollar bill 'cause I'm his smartest son,
and I swapped it for two shiny quarters 'cause two is more than one!
And then I took the quarter and traded them to Lou for three dimes- I guess he don't know that three is more than two!
Just then, along came old blind Bates and just 'cause he can't see he gave me four nickels for my three dimes,
and four is more than three!
And I took the nickels to Hiram Coombs down at the seed-feed store,
and the fool gave me five pennies for them, and five is more than four!

And then I went and showed my dad, and he got red in the cheeks
and closed his eyes and shook his head- too proud of me to speak

I read that poem to my sons the other day before bed and they giggled and giggled and giggled! I can totally see my youngest doing this some day soon...
Another fabulous week, another fabulous challenge from CAS-ual Fridays! This week we are sponsored by the Kraft Outlet and are challenging you to create a clean and simple masculine card and use the color kraft! For additional challenge details, prize information, rules and really, really great inspiration from the Girl Fridays, check out the CAS-ual Fridays blog!
My card started with a kraft base that was ink distressed with a dark yellow and stamped with a bold sentiment. I then stamped off-centered a fern row which the leaves were then colored lightly with distress inks. After whittling down the back side of a twig, I adhered that to the card base and wrapped it all with some twine.
