Installment #2 of Silly Sayings with Collin

Collin has a little imagination. He is constantly acting out scenes form movies. Usually Toy Story and Tangled and sometimes they are intertwined.  The other day he was playing with his buzz lightyear figures and he says, "Buzz, I am your father."  I love that he remembers that little line form Toy Story 2.

While eating crackers at Christmas dinner, he has the crackers talking to each other in high pitched voices.  He continues to take a bite out of one during the conversation.  Once one cracker is completely devoured, the other cracker says in a high pitched voice, "Where did my friend go?" Collin responds in his normal Collin voice, "I ate it!"

Yesterday, we were singing "Noah put the animals in" and Collin said jayhawks. As we were singing "Noah put the jayhawks in," he yelled go KU. Brent said, "I am sure God is a KU fan." C responded, "only basketball!"

Collin has been very hard to get up in the mornings.  A few Sunday's ago, he was whining about waking up and would say, "No, I still sleeping" over and over again. Brent told him that if he was good at church, he could come home and go back to bed.  Collin said okay and was so good during church.  After church he said, "We go home now, I go to bed and you not bother me?" We said okay and all went home for naps!

Yesterday the drama of waking up continued and C said to Brent, "You go to church without me. I still sleeping."  I believe we may be in for it when he hits the teenage years.

Christmas #3 in pictures

Our final Christmas was at Grandma and PaPa Lee's.  We were also able to celebrate Grandma's birthday.  We had a lot of fun!

Christmas # 2 in pictures

We celebrated Christmas day at our house and then Granny and Granddad came to spend a few days with us.  As always we had fun and a lot of laughs with the boys.

Look what Santa brought.

He went straight for the helmet.

"Look at me!"

C only asked for a red train from Santa. He was so excited that Stanta remembered.

Lighting of the Commons & Winter on Western

Brent and I are both blessed to work for organizations that have fun events for family.  OC's is Lighting of the Commons.  The lighting consist of pic's with Santa, carriage rides, musical performances and of course the lighting of the trees in the Commons.

C did great taking pictures with Santa the first year.

The second year, he was scared and we ended up having a family pic.

This year, we had a talk about Santa before we went.  Collin was so excited to see Santa and to tell him he wanted a choo choo train for Christmas.  That excitement died out the second it was our turn to take the picture.

This is possibly the worst Santa picture ever! Collin did end up introducing himself to Santa and whispered that he wanted a train.  After we walked away, he got really upset that he did not get the train right then. Looks like we have a little explaining to do.

After Santa, we wrote letter's to those serving in the military and went on a carriage ride. The carriage ride was the highlight of the night and even resulted in a lively verse of Jingle Bells led by Collin & Ryan.

My parent's were able to stay a few days between Thanksgiving and the Lighting. Somehow I did not get very many good pics, but we had a lot of fun.  Collin loves playing games with Granny and Grandad.

Chesapeake also had a family night where they blew in snow, had Santa pictures, and Rumble came to visit.  For obvious reason's we skipped the Santa pics.  Collin loved playing in the snow and getting to high-five Rumble.

I think we are off to a great start for the holiday season!
