This is my third or fourth post of the day...but I now can say I am all caught up! Mothers day weekend started with a Maternity session for our friends Devin and Brian. Right after that we headed over to Cooper's friends house for his first birthday party. Cole, a friend we met at little gym, turned one on May 5..he is almost 2 weeks older than Cooper. The Sunday of Mother's Day we had intended on going to church....but Cooper woke up VERY early and it just ended up not working out. Cooper got me donuts/tacos for breakfast and flowers for Mothers day.
Our friend Hans was in town from England...and he came over and visited us in the afternoon. We went to dinner in the evening and then he worked with me and my photography for awhile. Hans and his wife do professional photography and he knows so much...I am so thankful for the one on one lesson.
Today I am trying to get us ready because tomorrow we head to the beach! We are looking forward to a nice long weekend of relaxing.
A few Cooper updates...he is crawling and into everything. He loves to go in the laundry room and watch the dryer. He likes to go bang on the back door and antagonize the dogs if they are outside. He enjoys looking out the side window next to the front door...and he particularly enjoys playing in the dogs water bowl. He is eating just about anything....but LOVES meat. He would eat pieces of chicken or beef for every meal if I would let him. We have our one year check up next week...I am anxious to see how much he is weighing these days.
Here are a few pics...more adventures to come soon!

Happy Birthday to me :)
Easter weekend we stayed here in Katy. We went to church on Sunday where Cooper gave his own sermon as usual...and then we went to the Black Eyed Pea for lunch. The following weekend Grammie came to visit for my birthday. Saturday morning I did 1 year old/cake smash photos of Millie, my friend Kelli's daughter at the park. Millie is just one of the cutest little things I have ever seen. I remembered my previous lesson about daytime photos and we did Millie's pics at 8 in the morning.
After I did Millie's pics...Kyle and I headed downtown to the Four Seasons to celebrate my birthday. The four seasons is AMAZING! They have a resort style pool....they have a menu and they bring your drinks right to your chair or to you in the pool. The also come around with fresh fruit and water. We had a great time swimming and then that evening we went to the Astros game. Kyle had arranged for a car to drive us around while we drank champagne and then drop us off right at the front doors of the Minute Maid park. Some lady walked up to us and randomly gave us free...great tickets. We slept in the next morning and then came home to have some Mexican food for lunch with Grammie and Cooper. Grammie and Cooper had fun too...they went walking and played in the sprinkler. Monday May 2 was my actual birthday. Kyle and Cooper took me to dinner at Taste of Texas...it was great.
I was so focused on relaxing that I didn't take any pics at the Four Seasons ... but here are some of Millie's pics.

An Easter celebration
My brother Luke and his fiancee Yzette came to visit back in the middle of April. Yzette has two children...Ethan and Eilee who are adorable. Ethan is 8 and Eilee is 3. We had a great visit. Grammie came for the weekend too. They all rode together...Yzette, Luke, Ethan, Eilee, Grammie, and three baby ducks (Grammie's Easter present to the kids). When they got here on Friday we went to the park for some fun. Saturday we went to the zoo for an Easter celebration. Saturday night we went to Dave and Busters while Grammie stayed here with Cooper. Sunday Luke and Yzette let me take some engagement pics of them and then some family pics of the four of them. I learned a huge photography lesson that day! It is best to shoot pics early in the morning or late in the day as high noon leaves heavy shadows on everything! If I would have used the flash they might have turned out a little better...but all in all they turned out good and I learned something. Here are a few pics from the weekend...a few may be repeats from a previous post!

Neglect...
So I have been neglecting the blog lately...obviously. There is so much I need to get caught up on....but we (or I) have been choosing to do other things. We have been all over the place going to play dates, birthday parties (including my own little get away with Kyle) and little gym. I have also been getting ready for Cooper's birthday party...and baby proofing the house because Cooper-man is on the move. He is crawling everywhere and into everything. I plan to get this blog all updated and into shape...again the word is plan....don't hold your breath. Here are some pics for things we have been doing...

Happy Easter!
Once again it has been awhile since I have posted. I am going to try and get caught up the next few days on what we've been doing for the past week or so...but for now here are some Easter pictures. While taking the pictures where Cooper is in his pants and button down shirt...the kid INSISTED on eating grass the entire time. When I say insisted I mean that he got mad at me when I took the grass out of his hand and mouth. He was continuously shoving more grass in his mouth. He had just eaten a huge breakfast too. Happy Easter!
More post to come soon...or so I plan.

Changes, changes everywhere...
A lot can change in one week...or so I am learning. This past week Cooper did several new things...the first of which...he crawled for the first time on Tuesday evening. It wasn't far and it wasn't pretty...but he did it and Kyle and I were both sitting here to see it! Since then he did it one other time (yesterday). He gets up on all fours all of the time now...it's only a matter of time before the kid takes off. Second big thing this week...Cooper ate chicken and cheese yesterday at lunch. We met daddy for a lunch date. I put some pieces of chicken and cheese out of my salad on the table and assumed they would meet the floor as usual...but all of a sudden he just started stuffing it in his mouth...chewing and swallowing. He loved it. I sat there in shock.
Last weekend we went to Uvalde to visit Grammie and Luke. Saturday Granny and Ben came over to visit and Saturday night we BBQ'd and fried fish, shrimp, and steak. Yzette, Luke's fiance, came over and ate with us after she got off work. Sunday we went to church and then headed out to Nannie and Paws to go swimming and have hot dogs. Cooper LOVED swimming...which was another first for him this week. He didn't want to get out of the pool.
This week we have been busy with little gym and going and playing with our friends. We went to Kelli and Millie's house on Tuesday. Today we are going to Amanda and Cole's house. Cooper has a very busy schedule and things to do...let us know if you want to get together...we'll check his calender and see if we can pencil you in...haha
More adventures tomorrow....
