Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas - 2008

Okay so this is the picture that was supposed to go in everyones Christmas cards this year. Only one problem..I never had time to go and have them made. So here it is. I am sorry it is not personalized, but Isaac and I are in love. So much that he never wants to leave my arms. In the beginning he would go to anyones arms but now at 2 months he knows the difference. So we are now best of friends.

How can you not fall in love with such a cute face?
This is Taylor and Joshua's version of Ratatouille
Best of Friends!
Stay tuned for the day I actually get to sit and type;-)

October 28, 2007

This has been such a fun week. This week Joshua decided to make everything into a guitar. I mean everything he could find..brushes, wooden spoons, combs, fly swatters. Grandpa Baker observed then decided to take actions!(Why are grandparents and grandkids such natural allies? They have a common enemy!) Thus a new guitar appeared. For some reason the guitar coincided with Joshua finally talking and now his is also singing. He stands infront of his favorite shows, sings and plays his guitar.
Isaac is 12 days old. He had to take his first trip to church today. I was not planning on taking him so soon, but today was our primary program and there were some last minute difficulites that I had to go attend to. The program turned out great and the kids had a postive experience. What more can I ask?

This was cute this morning. I was frantically trying to get ready for church. Joshua climbed up on the bed. I said Joshua please leave the baby alone. As I turned back to the mirror to finish my hair, I look in the mirror and he was doing his favorite activity. He loves to kiss Issac and have him suck in his lips. This time he had pulled Isaac on top of him. Isaac did not mind at all. He just stayed asleep
My project for the week was mulching the black berries. It has been so nice outside. I could not stand to stay inside. So every time Isaac would take a nap I would run out and weed and mulch. It was fun to watch Taylor, Andrew and Robynn come out without being asked to help. I love to see what hard workers they are becoming. It looks like we are going to have another week of lovly weather. I know that we need rain, but I am loving working outside. It feels so good. I am sad that I will not get as much done this week. Grandma Law heads back to Utah in the morning. I could keep her here for another month.
We are all enjoying our new baby. He is really good natured. Taylor will just sit and hold him for hours. (literally). Andrew spends a few minutes each day with him. Andrew is by far my biggest helper with Joshua. He tries to keep him busy when I am busy with other things. He will read him stories or take him out to the trampoline to jump. It is so helpful. Robynn likes to keep a watchful eye for anytime she can help with Isaac. She is very tender with him. Aimee gets the hard spot. She is not really the littlest, but she is not old enough to just take the baby from me like the older kids do. Her favorite thing to do is burp the baby. Joshua is always curious about the baby. Now that he is talking he tells me what the baby is doing every minute. Eat. Sleep. Hiccop are just a few of the things that he likes to announce. Michael is enjoying Isaac. He really enjoys holding him when he is asleep in the evening. I just love that he is here!

Here is the most recent picture that I took of the kids. Can you tell who the girly girl is?

We have been getting ready for the unknown baby. If you have felt out of the loop because you did not hear what we are having, don't feel too bad...We don't know what we are having either. I am on the 5 week count down. Every one is getting excited for the new baby to arrive.
Joshua turned 2 on 9/12. He has all of Michael's humor bundled into one cute little body. He is always keeping up laughing.

Aimee has taken up Gymnastics this year. It suits her very well. She spends more free time standing on her head than anywhere else. She is also playing soccer on a team of all boys. She thinks they should all learn how to do cart wheels too. She tries every chance she gets to teach them.

Robynn is loving playing soccer. It keeps her very busy. She is just about to start Jr Girl Scouts. She is very much looking forward to earning merit badges.

Andrew is also playing soccer again this year. He has learned the hard way that growing-up means harder and longer practices. Andrew has just about finished his year of Webeloes. He will be earning he Arrow of Light at the next pack meeting and bridging to scouts on his birthday in November.

Taylor is a miniature Michael...Although you can argue that he is not so miniature anymore. Taylor started wearing a pair of Michael's shoes to church a few weeks age. From his avid reading to his extremely dry sense of humor. He keeps himself busy with scouts. He just earned his Life rank..and we are waiting for his decision on his plans for an Eagle project.

Michael is still the die hard scout master. We put up more shelves in our closet this past week. I think he has more scouting stuff than clothing. He is very much enjoying himself. Taylor loves the time with his dad. Andrew is counting down the days until he is 11 and can go with his dad on scout activities too.

Me...I am still homeschooling the kids. We are now in our 6th year. It is hard to believe we have been doing it for that long. I am enjoying all the time with the kids. I am still the Primary President... I love it...The kids are so wonderful to be with. I am just about to start the Jr. Girl Scout troop here. I look forward to all the time I get to spend doing stuff with Robynn.
