Let's travel the world together

♥ 09.10.12 - 12.10.12 - Bangkok getaway

So B & I were in BKK during his block leave and it was such a good break being away from Singapore, just the two of us in a foreign land with no worries at all. :) After army took him away from my side, I'm thankful for every opportunity that allow us to spend quality time together.

A few days before we left, I had colleagues telling me about the bad weather and flood there but thank god it only rained on the first day we were there.

Since his block leave happened to fall on his birthday week, we decided to fly on the day of his birthday. :) Took the earliest flight again this time because we are kiasu like that! Hahaha!

Up, up, here we go!

With you, I'm fearless

"In life, we would be a lot happier if we were to just follow our hearts and do what makes us happy, what we really want."

There comes a time in life where nothing in your life makes sense, where everything doesn't seem right, but then you have people around you to make it all better. Work has been nothing but a dread, and right now I'm still doubting my biggest decision. I complain about work a lot, almost everyday, to QC. But no matter how whiny or irritating I may be, he never fails to give me a word of encouragement every time, telling me I'm doing all these to fulfill my dream.

I know I may have say this a million times, but I really don't know what I'll do without him.

Managed to sit down and type this entry because I'm on leave today! ;D Though it's a little late to be blogging about last month's happening but I'm just going to pen it down for keepsake.

♥ 06.10.12 - 03/12 BMT Graduation Parade

I'm sure it was an exciting and memorable day for many soldiers, families, girlfriends and of course, not forgetting me! The 17 weeks of BMT may not have been smooth sailing for him but I'm so proud that he survived the training, and I'm glad that we crossed another milestone together. :)

Dark clouds and sky that threatened to pour greeted us at the floating platform.
Not welcoming at all..

1st march in.

B's dad was telling me that he should have brought his binoculars along. Hahaha!

2nd march in.

Cameras, phones and tablets all out. Hahaha.

The most spectacular moment. :)
A pity this was the only best shot I managed to capture because the sky decided to rain at the point of time and my view was totally blocked by all the umbrella. Urgh.

That's my soldier. :)

To be continued..

Goodbye, September!

I blame the lazy worm in me for the lack of updates. Work has been very tiring too. I didn't think that working in an office environment that only requires one to face the computer for the entire day could be that draining. I'm always drained out by the end of the week. So I'm sure people who hold an office job like me, would very much cherish the weekends. It's a huge dilemma to decide whether sleeping in till late is more important or starting the day out early is. But it's always the latter because the weekends are even more precious for me.

It's Sunday again, which means it's the boy's book in day and back-to-work day for me tomorrow. Sigh, the start of another long week of work.. I'm feeling the blues already. The only thing that makes me feel better is having something to look forward to every weekend, and no doubt the boy is my greatest source of motivation. :)

Anyway, today's his last book in before he passes out from BMTC next Saturday! #POPLOH

Placing faith and strength in you that you will make it through the 24km route march. I believe you have what it takes that's why you are chosen as platoon IC for the final lap. I'm proud of you, baby. I'll be waiting for you at the floating platform. :)

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Haven't had the time and energy to update this space ever since I started working 3 weeks ago.

Now that I have stepped into the working force, I really hate to think that I'm all grown up already and have to slowly take on the responsibilities that an adult has to bear. It's only the 4th week into this job and it is starting to get a little tiring and a little too much to handle. There is a really huge difference between being a student and being an employee. People are always saying to enjoy and cherish your days as a student to which I've fully understand why because being a student is so much better than being an employee. Nobody is going to forgive you if you make a mistake at work unlike in school. And today I got to experienced it myself of what the real working world is like.

On a happier note, tmr's the last day of the boy's field camp and I can finally contact him after 5 long days! Can't wait to embrace him and the weekend; the only thing that's keeping me sane.

Double happiness

Why? Because I finally managed to get a job, and bee finally passed IPPT which means he's granted a Friday book out! AWESOME! Hehe. Today is certainly a good day for the both of us. :D
