....it's gorgeous and I am happy to say that mine has been ordered and everything went through perfectly on
Hero's website this month! You can read all about it on the
blog and I have also uploaded a picture of this very pretty kits, perfect for Spring
!
And with Spring on my mind I have two more cards to share, both created today with some new challenges in mind. This first card was super easy to create, and it all started with the wonderful little "Stickeroo" from
Penny Black. I love them and they are the perfect answer to creating quick and easy cards. I was also inspired by this week's new
Muse Challenge and this lovely card created by Michelle Furguson.
I started by it by creating a white card from some SSS Woodgrain cardstock, and then adhered on my Stickeroo. I then cut some thin strips (from scraps) of matching cardstock and added it to the center and down the middle. My sentiment is from Paper Smooches and was stamped on white cardstock and then framed in black. I finished it off with some new white sequins.
My next card was created for
today's new
Monday Challenge over at the
Simon Says Stamp Blog where this week's theme is to create your own background, which is did using watercolors and techniques that I learned in the amazing
"Watercolors for Card-Makers" - Intermediate Techniques class, which is fantastic. I readily admit I still have a lot to learn, when it comes to watercoloring, but I sure and having fun trying! And I absolutely have loved every single one of the Watercolor Card Classes, being offered at the fabulous
"Online Card Classroom".

I hand-painted the flowers and leaves based on one of the class videos and actually filled a large sheet of watercolor paper and then simply cut out a section to create this card front. I then layered it onto some olive green cardstock and added some more matching green strips. The sentiment is from this new
Hero Arts CL949 - Stamp Set and was stamped in black Versafine and then die-cut with an
SSS Stitched Oval Die. I also use a white Signo gel pen to add a little more detail to define my flowers. I am totally enjoying using watercolors on my cards now, despite need a lot more practice.
Now I'm off to pack my bag for a fun Stampin' Up workshop that I'll be attending tomorrow at my Demo's house. She hosts them every month and I have missed many due to treatments, so I super excited that I'll be able to make it tomorrow. It's a wonderful group and I have a great demo, Margo, who you can find HERE, should you need any Stampin' Up goodies.
Have a wonderful week and be sure to stop by again soon. I'm delighted to be back in my craftroom and hope to have new cards a lot more often now. YAY!!
