Matt's big project

We were trying to figure out a good seating arrangement for all 7 of us at the kitchen table.  We have a dining room, but it is carpeted and I'm not up for taking up the carpet and putting in new flooring and I'm not up for cleaning the carpet weekly. I also like to have that room for the kids to do legos/geo trax/ puzzles/ trains/ Lincoln logs and gate it off from the little kids.

We decided Matt would build benches and I would paint them.  They have storage in them and turned out fabulous.  Now we just need to find time for Matt to build us a table.

While the little guy was sleeping peacefully in my arms, I played around with the color settings on my camera.

 The little girls had a dance party.

 Matt took the little girls out to play before the weather turned cold again.

They had a blast getting muddy.

Christmas #3

Matt's parents came down and we exchanged presents.

Jo and Lucy got a kindle.

 Lucy got a Belle dress.

 Ally got Molly.

 Ben got a Colts jersey.

 And cowboy boots.

 and a knight costume.

Christmas Day- 2

We got together with my mom and siblings in the afternoon.

There were lots of us.  17 to be exact. 

We finished the day with a fun game of scum.

Why do we have to have a picture taken?

 And tears because we just want to open presents.

 Ben was in charge of opening Briggs gifts.

 He did a great job.

 Ally got much needed snow boots.

 The kids also got magnetix from Grandma Angie.  They love these tiny magnets.

 They also got Lincoln logs.  These are a favorite with the kids.
