This was the first week of summer filled with visitors. LaNell came on Monday with her nice and nephew, and then Walt, Becky, Becca, Kyle, Eliza and Scotty came on Thursday. Oh, and Olive too. It was a party. And then it was really awesome when Gentry threw up, then I got sick, the Becky got sick at home, Than got sick, then Pacen, Oh, and Olive when she went back to Zach's, and then Becca and now Kyle. All of that happened in like 24 hours. WHAT THE HECK?!!?!? It was an awful throwing up sickness that hits you like a load of bricks and you literally have to just sleep for like 24 hours. Just terrible. Basically LaNell came on the right day! I'm so glad that is over. I'm actually very blessed since I have a compromised immune system (from my enbrel) that I don't get sick more often. I really feel like it's a blessing from Heavenly Father because technically, I should catch everything but I don't.
LaNell came on Monday. We swam all afternoon and then headed into the city to meet up with Than and look at this beautiful bridge and find some sand for her kids to play in. LaNell is the best Aunt ever. She took them for a few days while she was here on vacation and they love her. Like really love her and they are super lucky to have her.
I hadn't showered (unless you count swimming which we basically do all the time these days) and so I just twisted my hair back and that made me look like a dude. So here is picture number one where I was like...whoa, i totally look like a man.
Let's try this again. No, still looking a little manly with my greasy hair. :) But we are friends so we are cute anyway.
All I want to do when I am here is stare at the bridge and the water and take lots of pictures. So that is what I do. I could just hang out there all day.
Camry is becoming and expert name in the sand maker.
Perfection!
hahaha. It seriously looks like my hair is still wet. So gross but you still, you have to take selfies with your kids on a daily basis.
Claira's new obsession is doing cartwheels. But let's pause for a minute to note the outfit she chose. Mixing patterns like a boss! She looks cute in everything.
This was one out of like 40 cartwheels documented. :)
Nice!
I kind of liked this picture the best out of all of them.
And the Claira pose. She does this almost every time we are in front of the bridge and it's all her idea. And I love it.
Camry shares the obsession with cartwheels. It's a girl thing. :)
Great job, baby. I love these girls.
Oh, and don't forget the handstands.
Gentry has this sweet little smile these days that I love. And she practices them with my phone. She's so adorable.
The magic is real. I love that view. And there were whales out there! Real whales that you could see and I was screaming like a little girl. They would come up and blow their air and some were even jumping. It was soooooo awesome.
Maren was loving it but was not willing to take the time and take a picture for me.
Instead she just wanted to scream and jump. I totally get that.
That's how I feel too sometimes.
Than gets mad that we have sand toys in the garage but A--we have kids. B--we live by the ocean. And C--the kids love them. Look at this happiness!
I'm going to frame this one, Than. :)
Oh, I love this family. I might actually really frame this one.
The sand aftermath!
This picture sums up LaNell very well. She's not afraid of taking on four non swimmers and dog in a cold pool!
This picture just made me laugh since Maren was running around the yard completely naked and tried to get in the swing. On the ground. And was convinced that it could still swing. :) She is crazy.
This will make her sound even more terrible but will pretend to hit you. And like she'll hold something over her head like she's going to pound you at any moment. It's kind of strange. Hopefully it's just a phase. :) This incident is with this little A's bat. Oh, two year olds.
But really, who is more lucky than Maren? She has all sorts of people totally obsessed with her willing to play whatever she wants?
Documenting the awesomeness of Chipotle for dinner, It makes everyone happy.
The relatives came! Sadly, I only have pictures of Olive but they all were here.
And we basically swam the whole time!
Than brought the tramp over to create some dangerous fun.
Maren thought playing on the solar cover was fun. She like made a little bed out of it. More dangerous fun.
Just some regular morning hang out with Maren.
Saturdays = Swim meet! This is Claira diving. Her dive and her all around swimming has totally improved already this year!
Maren has learned the ways of cheering along by my side.
Swim meet hang out.
Then Olive came back! And shockingly, we swam some more.
And played some games....
Then Maren woke up totally happy. :)
This girl gave me a run for my money on staying up late. But I beat her out. Barely.
Sunday morning the playing picked up right where it left off.
And no cousin trip is complete without a little dress up time.
