The other night Than had a grand idea to take the kids downtown and listen our friends band at a restaurant and enjoy the great weather in the WC. It turned out to be a great night, even though we had to wait a while for a table and the weather got chilly and gentry ended up falling backwards off a chair. That is the life when you take five kiddos out on the town!
I love that we do stuff like this. Not a lot of people take all their kids out to restaurants very often for various reasons. Our kids are generally very well behaved and enjoy spending time with us still so its a win win.
A lady stopped by our table on her way out and told me what a beautiful family we had and how lucky we were. I love when we can be that kind of example instead of the family that people roll eyes at and say under their breath something rude about over populating the earth. Big families are awesome! I love it everyday.
While we were waiting Gentry was entertaining us.
What a cute 2 year old gangsta!
Today was a great day. I don't have an photographic evidence of it but we had a rather productive morning of piano and clean up and school book work and then headed off to San Ramon to try out a new pool. New to us anyway. And it was exactly what we were missing....A utah pool! We always talk about how we miss our Utah pools with all the kiddie areas and slides and little mushrooms where the kids can just run around and be crazy. And now we have it! It was so fun and the kids had a great time. They even had a super high dive that pacen and camry both went off and a big slide that was pitch black all the way down and was super fun. All for the price of 4$ per person! It seemed like a steal for the bay area! We love utah-esque pools! And now we have one!
Then it was basketball for Pacen and then FHE. We talked a little about pioneers and shook cream until it turned into butter. Sounds better than it really was because our kids were being kids and not participating very well but fun nonetheless. And Than and I got to use Becca living here (they'll be leaving soon...sad!) and went to the gym. Mondays don't have to be so bad!
