Beccas early birthday.

Last night was a super fun, impromptu family night. Than had worked from home and was heading out on a red eye later that evening and thought it was a good idea to go out and celebrate becca's birthday. So we first headed to tender greens...

Then off to the SF creamery...

And then we walked to the park.  

 

At some point I think all of kids had cried or hurt themselves. But I did snap this picture which makes us look perfect even if we aren't!

Becca has been so great to have around.  The kids and I are so lucky!

Summer day.

The world was in great need of some Maren pictures.  She is FOUR months old already.  It kills me, it kills me, it kills me that she is already four months old.  She's such a sweet, happy, perfect little baby.  

She sleeps all through the night every night and has since she was 2 months.  Like I said...perfect. 

She is laughing now.  The first 'real' laugh unfortunately happened for Becca.  What's up with that?!?!  She must be following Pacen's trend of laughing at an aunt--Pacen laughed at Erin first.  Go figure.  And I can get her to laugh if I snuggle her cheeks just right and Claira can pretty much get her to laugh by just breathing.  She thinks Claira is soooo funny.  And Claira is very happy to be the comedian.

She is grabbing her toes and starting to move a bit.  And her thighs have gotten so chunky!  I just love to squeeze them.  I just love to squeeze her she's just so snuggly.  She falls asleep on my chest every night still and I don't even want to stop that tradition.

She is just starting to want to see toys and trying to grab them.  She is super drooly and gets those fingers in her mouth all the time.

I'm pretty sure she's obsessed with me because last night I had to go to cub scouts and she stayed home with Than and when I came home I said something to him and she got the saddest look on her face and started to cry because she realized her mommy was finally home.  That's my girl!!!

Camry is equally obsessed with her as is everyone else.

We had a great afternoon.  Actually the whole day was pretty busy and fun.  It started with 8:00am piano lessons.  I can say lessons plural now because Camry started!  She's doing so great and loving it too.  Then it was cleaning time and then off to swim.  

Then we hit up Subway for a late lunch...

I paid the 33 dollars in fines (we lost two books...We cannot be trusted) at the Library so we got to check off one of our bucket list items.  Camry took forever to choose a book and would not just choose anything.  I knew that Mr. Siegel has had an influence on her because after she chose three chapter books she says, "I want to choose a book about something."  I would never have chosen a non-fiction book but that's just her...she loves to read.  And she's sharing her love of reading with Claira.  

 Pacen is loving reading lately, too.  If he is interested in a book, he's a little bookworm.  I love seeing him enjoy reading.  It hasn't always been that way. 

 Then we hit up Civic Park!  We just can't stop having fun today!

 And then it didn't stop there.  After I remembered that I hadn't picked up Penny yet (I was only 3 hours late...no big deal!) we stopped by Rite-Aid for some ice cream!  Yep, best day ever.  I love summer.  I love summer.  I love summer.  No, it ended ever better that that.  I forgot.  I let the kids watch part of The Karate Kid and then the kids were playing Karate Kid all night! And then we watched an episode of Full House together!

Backyard post.

I'm sitting here in my backyard, In a tent with my kids (plus William minus gentry and Maren) listening to crickets and a little breeze. I'd even see the stars if my phone weren't so bright. :) I love this little life of mine. I really am so blessed that I can stay home with my kids and we can play and learn and have fun together. We have kaylee and her little family here and Becca and Kyle which makes than being out of town so much bearable. Summer time is becoming one of my favorite times of year. I think fall will always be number one but I love having my kids home with me. I'm having one of those feelings of,"I don't have very much time left with my kids! They are growing up so fast!" Pacen is just getting old. He's going to be a 4th grader this year! And Claira will be a kindergartener! I'm old enough to have three kids in school. Now that is just crazy. I'm so looking forward to next years schedule just because I'm not doing any type of preschool and I'm excited to have a break for a year. I want to do lots of things with gentry and Maren. But I really hate typing on my phone so I'm out. But I need an update! My poor blog. I have to choose between cleaning, working out, blogging, sleeping and hanging out with than and blogging has suffered. My days are full but full of babies and big kids and a whole lot of crazy and I love it.
