Grandma and Grandpa's, other

Grandpa did some big fireworks a couple times while we were there.

The Roberts were with us one of the times.

Seth didn't like the loudness so he wore noise-cancelling headphones.

We bribed the kids and went out for ice cream snow cones.

Anika and Seth tried each other's.

Kari liked it too.

My Uncle Arne, Aunt Linda, and cousin Rachelle came to dinner with the two women Rachelle takes care of.  My Uncle Rulon also came with my cousins, Melesa and Reann.
Anika and Aunt Linda played a math game with Popsicle sticks. Aunt Linda also listened to Anika count to about 300 and gave each of my kids a book and stuffed animal.

Seth was very very sweet with Natalie. I was surprised by how comfortable he seemed with her, and how naturally he interacted with her. He talked to her and showed her things. He helped her try things. He pulled a chair over so she could try pumping the top to make it spin. When that didn't work very well he showed her a different way that would allow her to still use it. It was very precious.

Anika surprised me by giving Misty a big hug when they were about to leave. That was also very sweet if her.

My Aunt Linda came to bring me some family history things and also brought her balloon-making stuff.

Cool hats, parrot, flower, sword...

She left a straight balloon for each kid to try to make something.  Seth made a fishing pole out of the light blue one. That made me smile. He's been wanting to go fishing.

Grandma & Grandpa's

Anika and Seth were up and on a nature walk our first morning there. Look what they found with the wonderful wagon!

A boy and a snail.

He named it Snay-ee.

A girl and a flower.

Ewww!

Ride 'em cowboy! I think Anika was giving Seth lessons.  Even though that's a rocking horse, Seth rocked/rode/scooted it all the way down the hall. It looks like they have yummy red Lego "cake."

Bubble bath!

Soap monsters!

We went to walk through the tunnel that is part of the Jordan River Trail near their house.

Nathaniel was excited by this cool invention. It is a bike pump right along the trail. It also has all kinds of bike tools and a bike stand. What a great idea!

So much for the stroller.  This girl wants to walk!

Poor Kari got roseola and an ear infection. That's almost the only way to get her to snuggle with you, and even then it's no guarantee.

Anika snuck my phone during church.  There were about 20 pictures like this, but this one seemed best. Ha. Little stinker sneaker.

End of Summer in Georgia

The summer season is not over yet, but with a trip to Utah and school starting so early, our Georgia summer activities basically ended in mid-July.

The cool pirate boat swing at Superior Play. I want one.

This place is cool. It sells swing sets and trampolines. You can go play in their showroom for free certain days and times.

It was nice for a moment when one trampoline was unoccupied and I stuck Kari in through the net and she could roam free.

I looked out my bathroom window to check on my kids, and...

...this is what I saw. Anika and Seth sitting together, pretend playing together. I love it.

We told Grandma Hardman what books we read this summer to help her caterpillar grow around her room.  I was lazy and just texted her pictures. This one has some cute kids in it too.

Baby hands. Baby cheeks.

Swim playgroup: Seth, Anika, Sophie and Karissa.

Bonnie took my kids to a cool puppet show. This is Seth, out in the hall with Bonnie, for the whole show after paying for tickets. He was too scared.

Union Hill Park! It's the closest park but is actually just two skating rinks. One is covered and has bleachers around it. This one is perfect for riding bikes.

Making ice cream in bags with Bonnie and Ingrid and their kids.

Yummy and messy.

The last swim playgroup 😕

Seth just looooves jumping in!
