2009

on this last day of 2009, here i sit wondering why there aint a half day granted from my not-so-gracious office. =s

as i revisit 2009, it was indeed a good year.. and of all, here are some of the memorable ones:
1. my P plate can finally be taken off and returned to weiwei! yay!
2. i turned into a 21 year old mrs. i am young, steel!
3. started doing much more stuffs at work (shall not venture there though, kpo eyes are watching my blog)
4. finally finally finally got my 3G(s) phone, with a dataplan and i am officially forever online. wahaha.
5. had a good ol' many bday celebrations, chill outs, events, outreaches, and definitely looking for more to come in 2010!

and now, it's time to get down to my 2010 resolutions. realistic is the way to go!

tis is baby tyler. he is 2 months old and he has juz undergone a 7 hour long major operation. doc said there was a problem with his liver. had to do the op.

how many of us have gone thru a major operation, and 7 hour long for that matter?! treasure your life my fren. and treasure those around u too.

pls pray for baby. he's pretty brave for a very young child. =(

C.H.R.I.S.T.M.A.S 2009

indeed, Christmas is a season of lights~! passed by a row of houses along upper east coast road, and caught sight of this! and once again, tis is the best pic i can capture in a moving car... but nonetheless magnificent. imagine someone has tis on their house?!?!?

well, if u are an Easterner, check it out. it's opp saint patrick's school. (ironically, there is also a SMALLER scale decor on the building of a church a few lampposts away... zzz.)

i thank God for the thanksgiving svc

we had the most wonderful thanksgiving svc on the 20th dec.. well, at first i tot it was a welcome-home-sun thingy.. but i was nonetheless glad i made it to the 5pm to 10pm svc!

food was catered by the church. and i wouldnt be surprised that the catering was 1000-pax. buffet tables were everywhere, level 1, level 4, and even the void deck opposite (think malay wedding). was such a pity we didnt manage to take more pics! =(

Fashion Show!

could not really remember why i did not attend mimi's fashion show last year. but i am nonetheless thankful i made it this year!

how to spot the models from afar?
1. they look GOOD with their eyeliners, whereas the same eyeliners on normal human beings will turn them into pandas. (btw, the men have eyeliners too!)
2. they scan through the buffet table and dive for ONE PIECE of tart.
3. they look good in singlets. (while we look grossly underdressed for the event, zzz.)

our 2009 christmas celebrations came reallly really early this year: 11 Dec 2009. and once again, i am tasked arrowed to do wat i am best at... playing games!

BBQ, monoploy & sequence

SEQUENCE:

a game that created a lot of hoo-har from the start of the retreat! first of all, peter combed the nation to get it at $49.90. apparently it was one of some last 3 sets.

den all of us seemed to fight over the game. and when i finally got to play the game, guess wat, it was a SILENT game, i.e. all of us arent supposed to have 'table talk' nor 'coaching'. arghs.

at the end of the day, it was a pretty exciting game (albeit the silence). a acquired taste kinda feeling. ha. u may consider grabbing of the last 2 game sets in singapore, or alternatively, borrow from me to zap the board, and throw in 2 sets of playing cards. =p

it's bday celebrations again!

once again, we were more interested in food den taking photos of ourselves. checked out the new marche at 313 @ somerset (NOT 313 tau sa pia, zzz.) the food's nothing compared to the very fierce session of XLB we had juz abt 2 weeks ago, but nonetheless good (cos we spent a good deal of time laughing at silly jokes/pple). hah.

and tis my very-"WELLNESS" gift for the monkey. ha.
