EVENT: WYZ LEADERS' APPRECIATION NITE 2008 @ HORT PARK

our annual Thanksgiving Event... thanksgiving this year's supposed to be on 27 nov, but ours came at the usual 'after-christmas-before-year-end' timing.

this year, we made it a point to be dressed up! after all, the theme is "Haute Horti Couture", aka flora (and fauna for some, haha.)

and if i were to remember something from this event, i cant help but giggle at the thought of aaron being our WYZ hunk of the year! wait till i get hold of some of the most exclusive photos. heh.

and here goes, the only few photos i have so far of the event..

a day at the reservOir

yeaps, the marina barrage! reservoir in the city!

Built across the mouth of the Marina Channel, the Marina Barrage creates Singapore’s 15th reservoir, and the first in the heart of the city. With a catchment area of 10,000 hectares, or one-sixth the size of Singapore, the Marina catchment is the island’s largest and most urbanised catchment. Together with two other new reservoirs, the Marina Reservoir will boost Singapore’s water catchment from half to two-third’s of the country’s land area.

(if you ask me, i can only say "bo bian!", singapore's lack of space, even reservoir muz fight with the skyscrapers for space..)

like i've said, i promised to keep out of the sun, so i brought along my brolly! it was a HOT day!sneaked indoors into the gallery space for some history lesson.
and i am still staying indoors!

it's a warm and white christmas...

even the office's hustling and bustling with all of us trying to piece the recycled materials into our art piece, aptly called the warm and white christmas!

needless to say, the silver tree represents the trees we see on the snow-filled sidewalk outside the house (which will never happen in singapore of cos). and back at home, elated children decorate their evergreen tree with food and toys and anything they can lay their hands on.
i muz say this is one of the few moments i feel proud of our creation! and a good way to rid of useless materials taking up space in our cupboards of cos. =D

yet another candlelight service

tis time with mommy and daddy and momoto!

u noe u shldn't be at work when:

1. the roads are strangely free from the usual traffic.
2. spinelli's is closed for business.
3. the lift goes straight up to level 5.
4. and u are the only one in the lift.
5. the aircon's unbearably cold.
6. water from the hot water dispenser is for once, hot.
   
7. u can hear the thumbtack drop onto the carpet floor.
8. your msn online list is halfed compared to normal days.
9. ur office is a ghost town.
10. u hallucinated seeing the clock say 5.30pm even before your laptop boots up.

gatecrashed into the club last saturday night (entry by sms only).. would say it was a pretty cosy experience.. brings back the memories of the time we zouk-ed and partied..

of cos this party came with alot of food and fun and wii and prizes too!

and i finally got to see the lamp which i bought for molly and momo! (bottom right pic)

my $1.8k consists of...

(a) a cali welcome pack (full of words and signatures required)
(b) an exclusive cali bear, of which i tot it was pretty stylo. comes with leather jacket!
(c) a brolly.. but not the cali walking stick brolly, it's a My Melody brolly! so pwetty!
(d) many many free samples of shampoo, when opened and poured into a bottle, can fill a full sized one.
(e) a place to shed some fats away...

alright i guess it's pretty much worth it.. hahaha..

it came upon a midnight clear...

i gave in to the MNG temptation.. again.. =( tis time round, it's not too bad.. compared to june 2007 or the many more previous rounds of crazy grabbing..

it's a good thing to know where your $ goes to.. for me, the MNG sales had stripped me of:
$300+ in 2006 (cos i hit 3 diff outlets in half a day's time),
$133 in june 2007,
$125 in dec 2007,
$134 in june 2008, and finally..
$77 126 in dec 2008 (the lowest so farrr!) ='(

and the all time golden advice (mostly excepted from the really domesticated gOddess):
1. first and foremost! leave your husband/bf at home. they look awkwardly uneasy in a shop full of crazy scantily dressed women.
2. wear a spagg top and a short skirt for easy trying. u seldom get into the real fitting rooms.
3. avoid trying near the window panes, you'll neva know who's watching from outside..
4. mng sale is a good time to grab your basics!

and to those who are exceptionally concerned abt my finances which is directly correlated to the wedding... i promise.. i'll try to stop buying!

zzz.. the usual tues dinner has been postponed, all thanks to wei's company retreat, lah (of all timings, it has to be now!) and not to forget our beloved friend is in medan too..

in the midst of all the tofu-va-bohu, we decided to have a bday feast first! yay! sigh. wat to do. not gonna let funny pple bring us down!
speaking of funny pple.. wheneva we are surrounded by pple with behaviors we dun understand, it is comforting to know that there are some who are always adorable!

tis is made specially by charlotte and group for weiwei's bday! so sweet! (but everything abt tis cert is purrrfect except for that one thing, hehheh..)HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
