Happy Birthday to me!
-----------------------------
Happy birthday to me!お誕じょ日おめでとう ! 今年29さい。It was my birthday yesterday. Really, I cannot imagine I'm already 29!Sounds scary..haha..next year, I'll hit the big 3!! Oh my, it just sounds so funny. One year older, what do i wish to accomplish this year? I'm not sure. Maybe really figure out what I want to do for the rest of my life? Go to another country and live for a while again? Find a life partner?
One would think at this age, I should be having a career, maybe a marriage, and maybe also some kids. But here I am, still wondering, wandering...hahaha...But I think I'm happy now. I used to be unhappy, searching, figuring out what I want to do. Although, I'm still looking for more, searching for I dunno what, but I have a joyful heart now. No more miserable. Thank God :-)
This year, birthday wishes had also increase. And I've got presents too! :-) A gift voucher from a dear friend, clothings from my brother and a dinner with my family.

Working in a foreign country
------------------------------
What is it about working in a foreign countries that attracts people? Here in Singapore, we have so many different nationalities although we are such a small country. I wonder sometimes why people would choose to come to Singapore?
We have kids from China, and now more and more koreans are coming here to study. Integrating into our society, speaking singlish just like most of us. They are so "singaporean". I think right now, it's harder to find a singaporean among so many foreigners! haha...everywhere you go, literally, singaporeans are becoming a minority. It seems like singaporeans are "foreigners" in their own land.
You go to shopping centres, restaurants, you will find that people serving you have a different accent and it's very easy to recognise that they are not singaporean. Is it because Singaporeans are too pamper to "serve" people? Too lazy becos it's a tough job? Or is it becos the pay doesn't warrant their work? We have so many foreigners who don't mind the hard work, long hours and in some places, they really find pride in what they do.
This kind of phenomenon is funny. Is it only here in sg that we find this kind of phenomenon or is it happening all over the world?

A good long rest
-----------------
It's finally back to work for me after almost 2 weeks of rest. It's time to get back to routine. This Jan will be a busy month for me, but starting next month, I'll be slightly more free, so to speak. I'm hoping to continue my Japanese lessons in Feb.
I was hoping to go back to the language school that I went previously, but now, I'm considering going to another. Oh well. Piano exam is coming up for my students. I've got about 6 students going for the Feb/Mar exam, most of them are quite prepared, except for one. I'm kinda worried for him, but I'm praying about it and God is giving me strength and taking away my anxiety for that matter. I thank God for it.
I was so stressed a while ago about letting this student go for the exam and stress over another student who doesn't seems to be progressing although he's quite a keen student. Pastor has been talking about rest and speaking in tongues, I personally think that helps me a whole lot. I'm more calm now. Somehow the stress is gone and every time I go for lesson, things are turning more positively.
